Would the LGBT community be so 'targeted' if there were no discrimination laws that make their lives sensationalized? Regardless of what sexual orientation I am involved with, I do not want my personal life splattered all over National News. Being 'gay or trans' and coming out to family members would have been tough enough.. I don't need to tell the whole entire US the same thing... Besides, I wasn't planning on bringing Bob or Sue to strangers' Thanksgiving Dinners. If it is the married couples in question, then discrimination laws against 'married couples' should be addressed.
yeah people come out just to stick in you're craw. You ever think they didn't give a **** about whay you think?
You mean they have a one track mind? one-track mind noun a focus on one issue or topic, to the exclusion of all else; an obsession withone thing http://www.dictionary.com/browse/one-track-mind
no I mean you are narcissistic. If you think gay people come out just to bother you that is a classic example of narcissism. I'd say the vast majority of people don't know you much less how you think. Just because all you think about is their sexuality doesn't mean that's all they think about. It would be superfluous to day the latter is self centered based on the former statement.
History says yes, we would be that targeted. Coming out is what has liberated the queer community. People realize we aren't so evil when it's their family members, their friends, their favorite stars, etc. Normalizing it is what has helped gay people become more accepted and quite frankly, safer.
