thanks for the clarification. I thought knowing which groups are having more 'sex' in the LGBTQ population would also be a useful information. Although 'sex' is a personal thing, and maybe you would like to see all persons be able to have 'free sex', many persons do NOT identify themselves as an 'individual' person of 'sexuality' but rather join associations and groups to help them be part of a larger group of persons. And so if individuals have the right to have sex, so should groups. I would have to assume that you are part of the Generation Y or Millennial, Generation. Persons born between the years 1980 to 1994, I think, are Generation Millennial. That puts them in the ages of 23 and 37. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...neration-y-guide-to-much-maligned-demographic Persons of this Generation will have an important role in shaping 'sexual' ideas for the U.S. also. It is said that Generation Y, or Millennials, are the 'trend setters' of today.
I still do not see your point. I myself belong to several different groups, but my rights are not based upon whether or not these groups exist, but on the fact of being an individual.
Welcome to america where the right for children to not be neglected, tossed aside, beaten, or molested is less important than your right to have an orgasm. Sex needs to be regulated. #KidsLivesMatter
so is your personal question, 'Do I have a right to do as I want' or is your question 'Do they have a right to do what they want'?
What you are asking still makes no sense. Where is this personal question coming from? I started with noting that many trans also have genital preferences. Next thing I know you are throwing out statistics that are from so far out of left field they're from another ballpark altogether. And now this. People have right as individuals. People do not have right for belonging to a group. Whenever we mention groups rights, such as women's rights, or black's right or trans' rights, we are noting that those who are part of that group are being denied certain individual rights only because they are part of that group. Oh and from one of the previous post you asked which generation I was from, thinking I was Y or Millenial. I am older than that. I was born in 1970, so what ever generation that is considered, not that I ever cared about such. Somewhere between X and Baby Boomer, I'd guess.
As long as you are not imposing upon others...There are many cases of HIV positive people that were aware of it, but proceeded to spread the disease, this is an imposition upon others and could be considered first degree murder back in the 80's when their were no cures or treatments. Same with sex in public, it may be exciting to some, but many others do not want to see it.
What question? Other than ones like these asking where are you getting you basis for these comments, I have not asked any questions, only made statements.
Where would you draw the line on this? Where do public displays of affection become an imposition? Especially since the term is rather subjective. Is kissing an imposition? Is a male and female not but two males is? Hand holding? Caressing? Is caressing certain body parts like the face or leg fine, but others like the buttocks or breast/chest an imposition? Is it alright to caress the male chest, but not the female chest?
No public displays of genitalia...no that doesn't mean climb under a blanket in a public park and have sex.
It's the most basic of human rights, meaning that without due process, the right cannot be taken away. That does not mean that anybody else can be forced to have sex with you, just that the government cannot stop you from having sex if you are an 18+ year old without a felony conviction (and can find a partner, or a private place).
Of course it's a human right, however, that right is not a positive right (meaning that the government has to provide it for you), but a negative right, meaning that the government cannot interfere with your right, with some caveats--consent (ability to consent), sexual offender status, etc.
There is a right to free speech and press, but there is no obligation to provide you with a platform to speak or a publication for you to publish to.
Kind of an irrelevant question. We were going over the should and shouldn't be alllowed bit, which is different from the should be made illegal (which implies currently legal) tact. Since it currently isn't allowed, the odds are low of encountering such a situation.
Thank you! Are we the only ones who seem to get that rights are about what can't be legislated away, not about what someone owes you?
Not in the least. And as someone else said, we are not obligated to provide it to others, either (the more important point, IMO).
okay.. I see what happened... As I was perusing through this thread and when I came across your first post of 'I've seen her crap before....' I thought adding a few survey numbers might help for some odd reason at that time. Maybe my intention was to show that although LGBT constitutes a small percentage of the total population and trans even a small percentage within the LGBT, I thought that perhaps with the surveys, it could show that if trans has any preference to genital it is still within a very small percentage within the LGBT Community. I don't know.. Cross dressers can get the same feminine life they seek without going to the far possibility of getting hormonal treatment and then having some sort of genital preference. Sorry.. I'm just going to cut it here.. For some reason I had thought that your posts were from the same person who initially asked the question if 'Do you think or feel such a human right is inalienable'. Sorry. A case of mistaken identity.
