https://www.theatlantic.com/politic...the-boy-scout-jamboree/534774/?utm_source=fbb The man is a disgrace and he proves it nearly every day. The Boy Scouts are a group where sacrifice and self-service is held in utmost regard and here we have a man, who responded to the claim that he has never sacrificed anything by saying, "Well I've hired a lot of people," demanding more loyalty from the boy scouts. Does anyone else remember when Obama was criticized for his back-to-school speech because it was "propaganda?" I remember.
45 had no business addressing scouts. He is the antithesis of all 12 points of the Scout Law. Let's run 'em down, shall we?: 1. A scout is trustworthy--Speaks for itself, no? 2. A scout is loyal--Ask Jeff Sessions, Chris Christie, or his ex wives. 3. A scout is helpful--Not unless you're in the top 2% of income "earners", or if you're the Russian government. 4. A scout is friendly--Grabbing women by their genitals or an unwanted kiss is assault, not being friendly. 5. A scout is courteous--One would need to stop thinking about himself for a moment to consider the needs or feelings of others. 6. A scout is kind--That's not the same as glad handing for support. 7. A scout is obedient--He certainly demands obedience from his sycophants, but I can't imagine he was ever obedient to anyone. Maybe Putin? 8. A scout is cheerful--He's becoming increasingly cranky everyday since we won't fall in line and just follow his every whim. 9. A scout is thrifty--Gold toilet, multiple bankruptcies, need I say more? 10. A scout is brave--He's never had to fight his own battles in his life. Case in point, he couldn't fire Comey in person. 11. A scout is clean-- I doubt the man is actually a germophobe. Also, as Colbert asked of every Russian he met last week, "Do you have the pee-pee tape?" 12. A scout is reverent--Only if you accept that he worships at an alter to himself lined with burning tapers of $100 bills.
Boy Scouts chant, "WE LOVE TRUMP" during Jamboree. People love Trump no matter how much hate the anti-Trump crowd throws out... Keep throwing it, MrTLegal, you're doing a great disservice to your party.
Wonder how many gay Boy Scouts were in that crowd? Probably a handful in the back chanting, "we love Barack!"
You're waaaaaay over-analysing. Trump saw the word "loyal" and said "we need more of that". He wasn't dissing the scout motto or whatever BS, he was talking about loyalty from his own perspective. FC's sake, get a grip.
A few different things. First, every sitting President is invited to speak at Jamborees. Part of the reason Trump was welcomed is that Obama did not even attend either of the Jamborees that occurred during his administration, even at the 100th anniversary of BSA in 2010. A lot of Scouts were hurt by that, and felt that the President did not respect them at all. Second, as a soon to be former Scout Leader (sons have aged out), I do agree that Trump does not live his life by the Scout Law, and is part of why, I, personally, didn't vote for Trump (I didn't vote for Hillary either, for the same reason). Third, Jeff Sessions is an Eagle Scout.
While I agree that he is absolutely wrong to talk politics at such events, I don't think it makes him the vilest human being on the planet.
It was a smashing success. The Scouts loved the POTUS. Perhaps his tears blurred the scene for the writer.
You might want to check the address of his office. Let me help you out... 1600 Pennsylvania, Washington D.C. He already won. This thread is hilarious.
Well, as a democrat, youd know all about what hitler knew or didnt know. I have no idea, but im glad Trump chose to make his speech about loyalty instead of homosexuality, like obama did.
Does anyone else remember when Obama shunned the Boy Scouts for 8 years, because they are a faith based group? Pepridge Farms remembers...
