We worked last night until 2100 in Houston so we could drive home first thing this morning. Good to be home. I was in Houston all week.

My rooster attacked my 15 year old and scratched him across his throat. We may eat him yet.

My wife had a Plymouth Rock rooster that would spur the back of my legs when I would turn my back on it. One day I was ready for him. When he jumped I turned and grabbed his legs in mid flight. I was going to wring him out right there but figured my wife would get pissed and I wouldn't get laid for a week. So, I carried him around by the legs for 5 minutes, I would alternate flicking his comb and beak to tugging on his comb and waddles. Nothing that would be painful but it had to be annoying as hell. I let him go and from that point he never got within 20 yards of me. He would eyeball me and crow but he never came close again. You could say we came to an agreement.

We cut the spurs on our roosters. They do less damage to us and other chickens. I have raised cattle, goats, pigs, and chickens. The only animial that really scared me was a Rhode Island Red rooster. You could knock him in the head and would just shake his head and come back for more. He is dead now.

Got one thing to say, spreading hay aint fun.
From the sound of what all the meterologists are talking about this is going to be a scary one. The storm surge is what would make me want to go to higher ground. Will never understand why people stay in the way of a hurricane especially when they live near a coast.

So don't want to do anything today but have too much to do today. I have planted three miles of monkey grass this week with three miles to go it seems. More importantly, I need to go get a truck load of dirt and just don't feel like climbing on the truck and doing that. I am hoping breakfast takes an extra long time to cook this morning so I can just sit here

When shoveling dirt is the problem Illegal alien labor is the solution.

Unfortunately Clinton killing off tobacco pretty much depleted our supply of reliable illegal alien labor locally

Blue Dog Democrats because their great grandpa, grandpa, and daddy were democrats, so they were democrats too....except they voted republican unless the democrat was to the right of the GOP.

Then they were doomed as soon as The Clintons took over the White House. Tobacco farmers are just too independent for the modern DP.
