Imagine if they don't even cook it right... Be pissed.. Which is kinda sad really.. Since there are other things to worry about that day..
Probably rare Prime rib with a baked potato with butter, salt and pepper. Maybe have gumbo for an appetizer, and of course a salad. I just think that would be a good way to go out.
Whatever I decide to have, it has to be accompanied by a twice baked potato, my recipe for a twice baked potato.
I like courses. appetizer soup fish with appropriate sides meat with appropriate sides meat 2 with appropriate sides salad fruit and cheese desert desert 2 And if it doesn't cut it as worthy of a last meal, "they" get to try again.
I would have BBQ ribs from a pow. A pow is a genetically engineered animal that is half pig and half cow that doesn't exist yet. I'll wait.
I never understood how people could eat 6 courses! That is a lot. I have enough trouble finishing a salad and an entree. Sometimes I might get an appetizer, but I can't eat much or I won't eat my meal. Bread is always a filler too.
Small portions. I would like a stand up and walk around break between courses, but that's just me. Visiting Euros & Russians I have met comment on how plates are bigger in Bread and cheese should be at the end, not an appetizer.
Everything is a delicacy and not too much of it. Properly served it will stimulate an appetite like good That's why bread and cheese belong at the end of a meal. I hope you appreciated my call for a 2 course desert. You just may not eat for a day or two as you digest, but properly menu-ed and served I do believe it would go down easy. BTW one desert might be ice cream. And candy doesn't count. No York mint patty for desert. Those are just on the table. The fish course should avoid lobster and shrimp. Maybe sole or even cod. Maybe we should go for a fish course and 3 meat & fowl courses. Meat 1) Bird. Maybe quail. They are sweet. Meat 2) Pork or maybe Beef or even proper Veal. Meat 3) Lamb - I good lamb. And each with an appropriate veggie or two. ChrisL, I have faith, properly prepared - Yes You Can!
No way. My stomach would explode! I eat like a little bird. Lol. I feel overwhelmed when they come and plop a huge plate of food in front of me at the restaurant. I'm like, well, there is dinner for 3 days.
I do not like a large plate. I feel defeated looking at it. Small plates. Yum! And it is a last meal. per the thread. You could visit the vomitorium on a break. Roman style.
If I know this will be my last meal....It's gonna be decadent. No limits, no worries, no holding back. 1) Seared bacon wrapped scallops(12) with coconut butterfly shrimp and artichoke cheese dip to start. 2) Beef ribs, Ribeye, Cod fry, and Garlic crusted game hen. 3) Strawberry walnut cheese cake and cherry dark chocolate truffles with white chocolate topped REAL vanilla ice cream. 4) My wife.
Some humus and lebanese tabbouleh Some avocado, soya sauce and ginger Some duck with fresh potatoes. For cheese : neufchatel Tiramissu as dessert. To drink with : Some perry
The only things in this list I've had are avocado, soy sauce, ginger and potatoes. Lol. Dom Perignon? This is just too fancy schmancy for me. I am a meat and potatoes kind of girl!
I'm a region where we make a lot of perry and neufchatel (Normandy). I like lebanese, indian and eastern asia cooking a lot.
