Happens a lot where I live. Sometimes the humidity is so bad you can hardly breathe.

    Thunder rain and lightening

    IMG_1051.PNG IMG_1052.PNG

I like it, the lightening provide the ground with nutrientss and... The rain helps to keep it all green too - it doesn't last long and 'refreshes everything' since it's been warm and humid here at night this past week.

It's not warm rain, we don't get that in England, this rain is definitely that cool to the breeze tonight.

It's been pretty hot and wet here lately. Our rain is warm but that's not always a good thing either. That makes it really muggy outside. My hair does NOT like the humidity at all. It has been out of control crazy lately. Lol. It is really BIG. I have big hair like from the 80s. :D

I wish it would rain where I live. I has been a beautiful hot summer, but now all the fires have filled the air with smoke.

It's wet in AZ. For the last past years the average rainfall for the summer monsoon was only 1.65 inches, so far we've got over 4 inches, and monsoon isn't close to being over. Last winter was real wet as well, so our drought has pretty much ended.

It's going to be a pretty nice day today, like 84 and sunny, but it was kind of cold the other day! Down into the 60s. Cold for summer anyways. We've gotten a lot of rain this year.

Wow I didn't know that. I guess it's the heat drying it up so fast that makes it look always parched.

There is a cool fresh breeze, unusual for August that should feel hot and dry.
The streets were wet yesterday AM. Drizzle or mist I do not know. But, wet.
A friend nearby told me he had actual rain for a bit less than an hour.
It feels like Autumn is near.
That smell of rotting leaves is all that is missing.

Anyone else feeling an early Autumn coming?

Maybe just a prelude to a wicked windy hot & dry, Native American Summer aka Indian Summer.

Our heat index was 99 f. today. I can't wait for cooler weather. Hot and humid every day. More to come.

Warmer days, though there's a chance of snow to 600 metres today. The daffodils are flowering. Two weeks before Spring.

I am on a "Heat Advisory", those on the other side of the 405 freeway
are on Heat Alert. Like someone wouldn't know, "hey it's hot today".
It is good to be near the "green" ocean. I'm a bit inland from the "75" numbers,
South of Huntington Beach. Still imaged in the "green" on land.
Running my A/C and if the system blows, I got one of them automatic Generac
generators plugged into natural gas :woot: What me worry?

A few uploads ago I mentioned the feel of an Early Autumn.
Is this Native American Summer aka Indian Summer or is it Real Summer continued.
Stay tuned for late September / October for truthiness of it all.

    Salt too.

Watch the pee color in the toilet. Deep yellow means you need more water.
Go for clear. Cold dry weather sucks the most water out of you, if you watch
    that pee color.

    And wear a hat!

We're having a longish winter, here in the Sth Hemi (for which I'm very grateful). Snow predicted above 1000m into September (Sept 1 is the start of our Spring), and well into October above 1300m. Not sure how that works with an early Autumn up north?

Meantime, your heat alerts are pretty darned low! We don't really get those under 100 degrees. As for AC, it's never really been standard in this country, but it is becoming more common. In areas which rarely reach temps over 100, almost no one has it. We don't have it ourselves, and last summer we had a week of temps over 105. That was challenging :p

We tried no air conditioning one summer. We had a nice whole house fan, wore wet t-shirts, didn't move much until things cooled a little in the evening. Pretty uncomfortable but we sorta got used to it.
Then one day I walked downstairs to find pink mold all over everything...my keyboard, chairs, walls, storage containers. The grand experiment was then over.

Where in Upside Down World, Christmas in Summer, are you?
Not Uzbekistan. And not "here". Both are on the Right Side Up Hemisphere.

I believe 75F was current temperature and not a predicted.
It didn't get above 80F and one or two here.
And we don't need no "m" either. Try feet as the Lord intended.
The Lord gave you feet, not "m"-s.

    Conservation is a suckers bet.

"We" conserve and "they" bring in more people but no new items we are told to conserve.
Use as much as you can afford. Make "them" take growth seriously and not just profitably.
And you found out another way. Dehumidifying helps.

And if you have a medical condition, you might get discounts while you use more and more.
    It is so in California.
