White nationalists are flocking to genetic ancestry tests — but many don't like their results I think this is an extremely funny article. My wife's side of the family had DNA tests done, and they were very surprised and sometimes disappointed (they are not nearly as Irish as they thought they were, they are more German). http://www.businessinsider.com/white-nationalists-genetic-ancestry-tests-dont-like-results-2017-8
I'm sure they were disappointed to learn that they had African ancestry, but it should come as no surprise to anyone because we came from Africa.
First of all, that is not at all how these tests work; not everyone has SSA-dna/haplogroups and secondly, the "out-of-Africa-theory" is kind of debunked now that they've found Graecopithecus freybergi.
Oh there were pre-human apes all over the planet. But our modern day human lineage is out of Africa. Such as Scientific Eve who is only a few hundred thousand years old.
Graecopithecus is still the oldest pre-human found and it was found in modern day Bulgaria. Furthermore, it does not really matter if some pre-human ape lived in Africa as that does not mean that everyone alive today has SSA-dna. I have 0% of that.
Anyone who has been here in this country for a while probably would be surprised. As for Europe, look at the old Roman Empire. Trade and the Roman Army were everywhere. Carthage had three wars with Rome and actually invaded Italy. I am sure the gene pool were mixed pretty well during those three Punic wars. Genghis Khan made all the way to Moscow, a lot of the rulers of India were Mongol. A lot of the early settlers of this country mixed with Indiana and again when we went west. The Fur traders, Mountain men, explorers etc. All a mixture of genes. Intercourse with slaves was common in the South. Anyone who had been here awhile is going to have a mixture of some sort. There is no such thing as a pure race anymore. Then these white nationalist seem to forget that we all came out of Africa as one race and then populated the four corners of the earth. Due to the different environments, evolution and such, out of one race we became many. Today we are in the process of going back to that one race. Due to immigration, migration, trade, travel, wars, (GI's doing their GI thing) inter racial marriages, etc. Everything is global these days. We're all a mixture of other races and cultures. Some may go way back, others may be recent, but there is no such thing as a pure race and never has been. That is unless you count the one race that came out of Africa to create us all.
First we're all hapa or mixed including Neanderthal for most if not all non-African. There is no evidence the human lineage absolutely came from Graecopithecus freyberg as we don't even know its a hominin yet. There is only one jaw fragment and some molars. So Out of Africa is still viable although there are now caveats not available even a few years ago unrelated to Europe. But where is the evidence people are 'flocking' to DNA tests or anywhere? Sounds agenda driven although no one of reason likes Nazis.
Those DNA ancestry tests are not anywhere near as accurate as most people believe. Just because it might say you have 2.5% percent African ancestry does not mean that you do. The tests only look for certain genetic markers, and those markers are not always 100% unique to a specific race/ethnic ancestry. It would be more accurate to say that if the test says you have 50% English ancestry then you do have somewhere between 20 to 80% English ancestry, but it can't accurately pick out ethnic ancestry below 15% with any certainty, at least the standardized ancestry tests that so many people are paying to have done on them right now. Would people still pay the money to have these tests done if they knew the truth? I'm guessing more than half would not.
White people with a black ancestor going back in their family tree are much much much less common than black people with a white ancestor, since normally it all went one way (individuals with half black, or even a quarter black ancestry were considered black, and almost always married with someone else who was in the black community). So-called "passing" did occasionally happen but was very rare.
That white supremacist got set up. He was doomed to be mocked from the get go. It is unfortunate albeit well deserved that he allowed that to happen due to lack of reading a book or two. Most of us have known our genetic history as a species not a race since what high-school? Dumb arse.
Which is ironic, because now 'passing' is the last thing many mixed race people want. I know a family who are Egyptian/British, but somehow ended up looking really Jewish. It bugs them. They want to to be Egyptian badly Another friend is Eurasian but looks Spanish or Italian. Again, no one has ever twigged to the fact that he's half Asian. He doesn't like that.
why? they're no different to the ordinarily xenophobic Japanese, or Chinese, or Indian, or Israeli, or African American.
Homo sapiens emerged from Africa. The best evidence of this is that all humans except sub-Sahara Africans possess a tiny amount of neanderthal DNA. You see, neanderthal never entered sub-Sahara Africa. When homo sapiens left Africa, they intermingled with the endangered neandethal species before spreading into Europe and Asia and the rest of the world. Make sense?
