That's true. It's also true that you don't know what you just agreed to.

And again the truth eludes you. Come'on man show a little initiative and curiosity and lose the blinders of ideology.

Ratings are down 24% over this same time last year for the Sunday noon games. I assume that a superbowl appearance is affecting Atlanta ticket sales. I have seen plenty of surveys citing the top reason for the decline in viewership as the player protest. Just to be clear, do you think this ill-advised stunt is helping football?

I think I have your positions straight, but they are fairly illogical; so, I want to make sure.

    1. There is still institutional racism in the US enforced by government policy.
    2. There isn't any negative effects on the demand for NFL products due to these player protests.
    3. Colin Kap = Rosa Parks, Jackie Robinson, or Jack Johnson

I disagree with all of them.

Maybe you and your liberal ilk should read AND COMPREHEND the gawd damned Constitution.

The guberment isn't restricting someone's right to free speech so the 1st amendment doesn't apply to these un-American POS football players who are disrespecting our (well, mine anyway) National Anthem and flag.

They can't sue anyone for what they ignorantly believe is an infringement on their Constitutional right(s).

And when you make a statement, you have to suffer the consequences for your words and/or action(s), something the your lib/prog ilk always tout.

The President said his opinion and you and your ilk didn't like it.

Too bad, so sad for you and your ilk.

The President has a right to express opinions of his own.

And there ain't a gawd damn thing you and your ilk can do about it.

Wow - nice catch there. The Obama Presidency has been an economic disaster due to ObamaCare, Dodd-Frank, EPA regulations, and Climate Change regulations. Those have been proved to reduce economic growth for no significant benefit.

The owners and their managers and consultants have ruined the NFL.
No great loss for the rest of us.

You mean to tell us the AID Trump sent and still sends is not recognizing the problems in Puerto Rico?

The football players are employees. They are there to entertain, not act angry at cops whom the team nor the Fans have a thing to say about. As Sarah says, when you protest the cops, do it at their police stations, not at a event the fans came to see as entertainment.

Kaepernick crapped in his own bed. Now he understands what not getting paid feels like. Put more players out of a job and they will wake up.

I served when the Draft was enforced. I say Trump simply followed the law of the USA. I was drafted, he was not. I applaud his use of the law. The same people hating Trump over the Draft love Clinton who openly fled from the draft.

Some say this has nothing to do with the kneeling for the anthem, it’s an ongoing decline:
Maybe things will change now that Trump’s expressed disapproval, this should mean critical lefties will watch football now, at least to see their heroes kneel.
Maybe it was just the game:
The NFL’s descending ratings may be due to the kneeling, lousy games or Trump, it could be fewer young adults are watching because they prefer online games.
Seems like this is an ongoing thing, declining interest, a shrinking demographic that doesn’t follow the sport.

Gosh, I once chatted with Leo Nomelini, the great 49er that played two ways. Offense and Defense. This great man would not like the NFL of today. Leo told me he still lived in the same small home he lived in when he played pro football.

No player that is making money for the owners will be out of a job.

Sending aid and then ignoring the suffering as if his job is done while being so outspoken about football players is irresponsible , cruel, uncaring..oh ya, it's Trump.

Trump is not ignoring Puerto Rico. He wants America to be proud of this country. Football players need protest where the injury they protest place takes place, not on a football field.

Professional sports has become an anti-American protest. There is no market demand for that sort of thing.

I did not mention force. We are talking of in general Millionaires who live in the lap of luxury, some beating up wives and girlfriends wanting to be taken serious over a very few cops, scattered all over the nation. They look dumb.

Yes, you said, "" He wants America to be proud of this country""....and I replied that you can't force people to be proud meaning what Trump wants by using force( firing players) isn't the way to get it..

No, we are NOT talking about """Millionaires who live in the lap of luxury, some beating up wives and girlfriends""... we are talking about Americans showing an opinion...

...and now I'm done with you because you never stay on topic by swerve all over the place and the next thing you'll be giving your life history to "prove" some vague point because you couldn't stay on topic.

Nice you found one that hasn't been on an NFL roster in years. Can you name any from the 1696 current players on active rosters?
