Only a paranoid unthinking hillbilly following the orders of a senile doter would think that kneeling before a football game was disrespecting anything. It's called protesting.

America is already divided, but some idiots still believe that "diversity" means strength.

The Americans are already sooo dumbed down, that they cannot see that "diversity" and division stem from the same Latin root: divido.
And even Romans knew the principle:
    divide et empera!

Guess what tiny ethno - religious group profits from the diversity in the USA?
    ;)

Imagine being so bored that you need to think kneeling before a game in protest is a great anti-patriotic sin? You and your leader, the doter in chief, need to get a life.

The NFL can't sell seats for $6.00. Game over.

“This marked the second straight week where Rams players were greeted by a sea of empty seats. Tickets for last week’s game against the Colts were as cheap as $6, but there were few interested buyers.

Even adding in the fans that attended the Chargers’ first game wouldn’t match the amount that showed up for USC’s game against Texas.”
SB NATION, Saturday’s Texas-USC had more in attendance than Sunday’s Rams and Chargers games. Combined., “Los Angeles is an NFL town!” - the 30 people who bought tickets., by Christian D'Andrea@TrainIsland Sep 18, 2017

Nice try. But if you actually read the article has nothing at all to do with player protests. Intellectual dishonesty alert.

Coming from someone who has demonstrated thst he has no clue what hate speech means or what the protests are about that is hilarious. Maybe you will be kind enough to explain what you think the national anthem is. Give us all another yuck.

Are you daft? Almost every investigation justifies the officers. Even with special investigators and prosecutors, there is no discrimination or violation of civil rights found. In fact, almost to a t, it is the criminal behavior of the perpetrator at fault, each and every time. In effect, there is no discrimination against black Americans by law enforcement or institutionalized in any way. So the knees and raised fists are protesting nothing, but to embolden criminal behavior and riots at the expense of our anthem, our flag, our peace, our safety, and the safety of our law enforcement officers. It is also a violation of the NFL's own rules. It's clear to me that the black players who do this are simply bold faced racists, who could care no less about America, and whose main loves are money, sex and violence. Only ignorant idiots would defend their despicable conduct.

What bothers me is that the doter in chief is preaching about patriotism, and honoring veterans and the flag, when he dodged the draft to get out of going to war himself.

Well, the NFL can clean up its act or not. It's not breaking any laws. But I don't have to subject myself to something which I find extremely offensive. So, for my protest, I will not go to their games, watch their games on TV, buy their trinkets, or purchase player endorsed products. I'm sorry for the players who do all the right things and don't participate in the unAmerican, unpatriotic nonsense. But they can blame their teammates and league leadership if the league crumbles. The bottom line for me is that I know I'm right, and the kneelers are wrong.

As for President Trumps position. The players are NOT being required to go to war and risk their lives for their country and countless blessings. They are simply being asked, reminded and required to stand and honor those who have and do. It is called patriotism.

The Con is dividing America for his own gain:

"It's really caught on. It's really caught on," Trump reportedly told the assembled conservatives. "I said what millions of Americans were thinking."

Ratings. Booing. Great anger. Really caught on.

Trump's decision to start this feud with NFL players -- and professional athletes more broadly -- is a telling window into how he views (and uses) the power of the presidency: To divide, not to unite. To forever focus on scoring political points, to please and placate the political base that helped elect him to the White House. To always, always, always look for where we disagree -- and where those disagreements can be exploited for his own gain.

That is, at root, a fundamental departure from the way that previous presidents have operated.

    http://edition.cnn.com/2017/09/26/politics/trump-nfl-tweets/index.html

Has been ever since he set foot in the political arena, really.

You certainly have that right, and always have had it.

For me, I don't see any right or wrong here. These men are protesting out of a concern for the safety of their fellow African Americans in this country. That's all they're doing. You may not like the venue they've chosen, but it's their venue, and their decision to make.

I think most of us, who are non-Trump supporters, don't understand that this why these people voted for Trump. I must admit that he is consistent with his divisive message. From the campaign, through the first 8 months of his presidency. He is the GREAT DIVIDER.

His base still thinks that this is an effective way to run the country. BUILDING WALLS! It is proving to be just the opposite.

Only an ignorant idiot would defend the shooting of inarmed black People by police when the officer is clearly in no danger. What was the last case. An officer aquited of shooting a black man who the officer said was threatening him with a gun except that the only DNA on the gun was the cops. Very considerate of the victim to wipe down the gun after he was dead.

Oh, we do understand why they voted for Trump. Most of them were the to quote Zappa " the left behinds of the great society" who thought that somehow electing a rich narcissist who has never cared about anyone other than himself and his family ( excluding wives of course) was somehow going to shake up the system and miraculously make their lives better.

Well he is going to make some lives better particulary if his tax cuts for the rich go through as well as his elimination of the estate tax for estates over five million.Unfortunatly it looks like his plan to pay for those tax cuts by eliminating health insurance for 20 to 30 million Americans is going to fail one more time so the poor super rich may have to suffer a bit longer.

The Democrat establishment has a long history of contempt for The Star Spangled Banner.

"In indignation over the start of the American Civil War, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.[27] added a fifth stanza to the song in 1861, which appeared in songbooks of the era.[28]

When our land is illumined with Liberty's smile,
If a foe from within strike a blow at her glory,
Down, down with the traitor that dares to defile
The flag of her stars and the page of her story!
By the millions unchained who our birthright have gained,
We will keep her bright blazon forever unstained!
And the Star-Spangled Banner in triumph shall wave"
While the land of the free is the home of the brave.

Thanks to Trump for putting some spoiled brats in their place. There is nothing wrong with the POTUS stating his opinion that they should be fired.

Your reply is disingenuous, or simply misinformed. In fact, The NFL is crashing because of the protests of the national anthem.

“In a Seton Hall Sports Poll released Thursday, 56 percent of those surveyed said they think fans are watching less because of the stand some athletes are taking by not standing during the national anthem.

"It is somewhat remarkable that the impact of the national anthem protest seems to hold, given that the action occurs pregame and isn't even televised," poll director Rick Gentile said.”
ESPN, Poll finds fans think anthem protests hurting NFL ratings, 10/16.

Ticket prices will continue to fall with the ratings.
