"Traumatized," ... grow up, Stevie. It's possible to be concerned without freaking out.

That sounds like a win for me there. Grow up yourself, I'm retired.

Auto deaths have gone down modestly over the past dozen or so years. I do not know if gun deaths are rising. Each time some mad person kills humans, we get this ration of nonsense saying the rest of us, all of us in fact, just have a brand new law to obey due to the nut case. I don't agree. Were laws on the books working, the nut bag in Las Vegas never would have planned and executed so many humans. He had laws to obey. So why did those not work?

I do not understand why Democrats or their kin, believe the attack made on you or me gains them a thing. They are dealing with people such as me and you who have long faced attacks by democrats. i used to say left wing. BS, left wing is not on my CA ballot. Democrat is.

That is called ... putting things into proper perspective.

This shooter was breaking so many laws it boggles the mind to suppose some brand new law would have stopped him. Was he reading the law books to obey them? Clearly he was not. He was not ignorant since he was rich, blowing a lot of money and living very well. He also had homes in TX so this is not confined to property in NV.

They tell us that if abortions are outlawed, women still will break any law to get one. What makes shooters different?

Margot, none of us accept what you claim at face value. You hate Trump. Were you more modest, more informed, and documented your claims, you would persuade more. But you sound like the ex wife who hates her husband.

Frank Sinatra had mob pals. I don't think Frank had problems with Trump. Then Trump was much younger.

Gosh, what about commercial aircraft crashes? Do you get as crazy over those as you do over guns? What keeps you silent on 40,000 lives lost to cars? Don't you know of any times cars got used as weapons?

Are you comparing gun violence with an airplane crash? Are you really doing that? Don't you know the difference?

Read Sinatra's manager's book. Trump was a creep, grifter and braggart even when he was young.

Look, Trump is married. Has a teen aged son. You are living in his distant past. Thinking locker talk, guy to guy is how things are. Men get laid more in bars and toilet chats than in real life. Men brag. Women do it as well. Clinton wanted to get rich. Being president made him rich. Trump did it the old fashioned way. Not politically driven.

It is fake news to claim Trump does not care. With his money, he does not need your reaming. I feel you may be in the bank of the Saudis so though I am probably wrong, see how it works to think bad thoughts and make things up? You make too many things up.

As a Pilot and gun owner for almost all of my life, YES. In the past 10 years, we have lost about 12,000 to airplane crashes in this country. Do you honestly try to compare the 12,000 to several hundred due to guns? I speak of mass murder and not the casual wife kills husband crime.

I don't know I just wish we could all stop the hate and violence from both sides.
This all started in the 60s and has escalated since. I don't see any letting up anytime soon.

Sinatra was just an actor and not a nice man at all. No doubt his manager echoed Sinatra.

I am thinking of the Texas tower shooting. Prior to that one, I just don't recall any so called normal people engaged in mass killing. We can bring up the 1930's and the gangs at that time. Even Bonnie and Clyde were notorious. We are now talking of but one man. So to change our laws over one man? I don't think so. He broke a lot of laws. But laws never stopped him. I am hard on Democrats because they changed the culture of this country so much that i believe they are some of the causes of mass killings.

Look at their rage at Trump? They had it against G. W. Bush as well. We were not full of hate and rage over Obama.

We see rage against Trump all day long in the media. This has a profound impact on the general public that pays attention to the news media.

So you are still claiming that gun violence and airplane crashes are deliberate. I assume you lost your ticket when you dumped your gyro..

That is not the media lying, Everyone was surprised..no one thought so many in America were that stupid to allow him to actually win.

The outrage is there...I get visibly angry when I see it on the road, and my passengers always get an ear-full about how stupid that person is.
It's all over the media too...hell even state laws have been passed...since driving is a privilege anyway, don't really see much the federal government can do about it..it's a state matter, guns are national.

Dems will always resort to name calling when they start losing debates about the issues. It has gotten so bad that even the mainstream media is constantly bashing Trump with phony BS during the primaries and continued with day-one of his presidency. They've alienated everyone except the most die-hard dems. It's disgusting to most people and dems won't know it until the next election they lose because of it.

Been run off the highway, at speed, onto the berm by someone driving a minivan while looking at their phone. Phone use while driving is at epidemic proportions and I don't know why my insurance should go up to help pay for their accidents. This doesn't even account for the court costs and rescue costs, hospital bills and funeral costs.

I think there should be a way to record drivers who want a smart phone and these things should be used for 3 months each year inside the car, for each driver.

I wonder how, after learning that Paddock may very easily have had an undiagnosed mental illness, a background check would find that? I'm all for keeping folks safe as possible, but I can't figure out which of the proposed laws would stop anyone, except those whose lives are constantly monitored by the government.

That's a bigger problem than ISIS, since they aren't allowed to be monitored. That's profiling.

What causes them to lose elections works for me. The more they lose, the happier I become.

There is no "debate" on this issue.

Some tinfoil hat conspiracies exist, but no debate is going on.

Nothing said by Democrats illustrates to me that they understand the problem is not the constitution, nor the 2nd amendment, nor the NRA, nor we republicans, but rests entirely on the back of the dead shooter in Las Vegas. Not his guns nor other toys, but him. He alone rented the room, no law would stop him. He alone fired on the 22,000 humans below. No law could stop him. He intended to rain death from above. We had nothing to do nor say about it.

I am so pleased that a bit over 97 percent of the crowd got away safely with no injuries from the shooter. Suppose he had kit 3,000 of the crowd. We all have much to be thankful for.
