Well I’d love to have a political debate with you, but it’s not in my best interest anymore. Let’s just say I disagree and leave it at that. Sorry. But that’s what it’s reduced to now.
It’s better to be mysterious ... than missed quoted or characterized ... Not saying you’re doing that.
Cigar is alluding to the condolence call from Trump to a military widow, which apparently did not go well.
I believe a small percent are, I believe when caught abusing people with the badge, they should get a felony, not a paid vacation, abusing someone with a badge is a serious crime imo, and that goes for abusing someone of any race as an example, what that cop did to that nurse, should be a felony
For white people to say that all lives matter is a bit of an obvious answer, except for the fact that you will probably find that the majority of white people don't understand why black people feel that they have been treated like they don't matter. As was stated above, there are many examples of successful black people and success is achievable for most any American who is willing to work hard for whatever their dream is. The difficulty is is that there are many examples of historic and current events that paints a picture of black lives not mattering in this country. I referred to the Reconstruction period after the Civil War earlier today as an example of how freedom has a loophole (The Thirteenth Amendment). This has come forth into our current prison system which is eloquently elaborated on in the documentary film 13th by Ava DuVernay. We can also look at the horrific numbers of homicides in cities like Chicago as another example of high black on black homicide, which translates into black lives not mattering. Most of the research shows that the common denominator in most of these statistics and cases is economic disparity and a lack of investment in all lives mattering. Read the works of Fredrick Douglass, W.E.B. DuBois and Howard Zinn's book The Peoples History of the United States. Listen to the speeches of Malcolm X, Bobby Seale, Fred Hampton, Stockley Carmichael and Dr. Martin Luther King and you will begin to see why many black people feel that their lives don't matter.
we also all need to understand young whites and blacks right now are both having issues, so we have to be careful not to see everything as race being the issue, be it Whites thinking non-whites are stealing their jobs or blacks thinking whites are not giving then fair opportunities for success I want to see both sides try to help people of all races succeed, when either side starts to isolate themselves as blacks vs whites it all fades into us vs them foreign outsourcing and foreign imports are a big issue and that issue effects all Americans
Yes, At the end of the day all people no matter what there color or background are being affected socially and economically. It is just that black America is getting affected by greater economic disparity than whites. This is also true of the Hispanic community. But, if things don't change all of the U.S. will be equally in trouble. We are heading into a problem of sustainability and debt that could permanently cripple the economy. With trading agreements like NAFTA that predominantly helped businesses at the very top and hurt a lot of ordinary people in foreign countries. Mexico is a very great example of this, which spurred on the immigration issue as well as snowballing the drug cartel problem. This also sent jobs over seas that while somewhat helping ordinary people, also has sent pollution levels through the roof in places like China. We need to recognize that this is not a race problem, but an economic problem. Educating ourselves and realizing that we all need each other to survive and succeed is so important. This means locally, nationally and internationally. I highly recommend a book I am finishing up by Peter Joseph called The New Human Rights Movement. It addresses these issues and many more related to where we are and where we could be going to change things for All People.
It's not a matter of wanting or not wanting. It's living in the real world. People are different. If everybody looked the same, some would still want to separate us into categories. Some would still find reasons to be bigoted towards those of a different group. I'm not religious. I don't believe in things like preordination. I don't believe we can tell a person's future by how they look. People become who they are through their individual reactions to what they are exposed to. I think a better question might be; why would we want a perpetual underclass of wasted human potential?
Good idea! Let's find something equally lucrative that low IQ, high crime whites and Asians can also aspire to.
look at Trump vs Obama.... lol, do we really want Trump to represent the white race or do we want to be judged on our own merits
pretty idiotic to suggest that saying "Black Lives Matter" means one thinks black lives are more important than white or Asian lives.
It must be really "special" to be so "privileged" to generalize and say whatever you want about an entire race of people with total and complete impunity. You da-Man Boss
the problem is some of those saying it seem to be black power types that do not seem to want to unite the races, most may not, but we need to slap those that are black supremacists, just as we slap down those that are white supremacists, I wish the slogan was 'Black lives mater too'
well like White Hitler and the likes, I do not think you can say all whites are all blacks are good or bad, we are all individuals
Emphasizing one group over another does just that. Especially when the same promoters of BLM, consistently demean other groups. Why isn't it called ' Black Lives Matter Too'?
