Although he didn't actually kill anyone himself, Manson was a monster who manipulated vulnerable young women into doing his bidding through drugs, sex, and extreme cult indoctrination. These women would have never killed or hurt anyone under ordinary circumstances.
By the way, I don't agree with these conspiracy murder laws, they are very broadly defined and leave a slippery slope, but in this case it was totally justified.
Most of the public at the time viewed these gruesome murders as the logical extension of drug use, free sex, Satanism, and the culture that surrounded rock n roll that was so prevalent in the 60s
Yeah I see that now. Earlier in the evening the story popped up and when I looked into it Google said it was a death hoax. Apparently they were wrong.
