And of course, as we all know, the only form of Christianity is Catholicism and there definitely were not millions of Lutherans and other Protestants in Germany who massively supported the Nazi Party.
Millions upon millions not likely as even for Germany a largely Christian nation was hard press to managed to killed that many millions with the technology of the 1930. Hundreds of thousands at a time you could likely made a case for in the history of the Rome church and it Popes.
I was just proving your allegations that Stalin was any sort of practicing, believing Christian is laughably false.
They didn’t murder in the name of atheism Hitler and the Christians slaughtered a specific group because of their religion
Hell who can know what Stalin or any of the Popes for that matter believe or did not believe in their secret hearts? In my opinion, any numbers of the Popes was not true believers for that matter. In any case, he did indeed study for the priesthood so declaring him an atheist only is questionable as any so call true atheist would hardly be found trying to become a priest.
Killing and destruction are referenced slightly more often in the New Testament (2.8%) than in the Quran (2.1%), but the Old Testament clearly leads—more than twice that of the Quran—in mentions of destruction and killing (5.3%)."
Lots of people going to religious school lose their faith, or never have it to begin with. The proof of one's Christian faith is in their visible works---to us humans. Stalin worked to destroy Christians and other faiths. Not until his nation was sinking in 1941 did Stalin reverse his policies somewhat---just for political advantage. I am a Christian, not a Catholic, so I won't bother defending all their popes.
My own opinion is the man was just out to follow the best path he could come up with to power and if that path would had led to the Pope throne or the atheist General Secretary of the Central Committee so be it. I question if he was either a believer in the communist dogma or the Christian dogma or an atheist dogma.
Hitler and atheists slaughtered as specific group because of their ethnicity (Jews) and because of their religion (Catholic).
One point that most people fail to take into account is that a large number of Christians really are Christians once a week on Sunday before they go to McDonald's for lunch. Of course there's no way of proving it but I am guessing that over 1/2 the people that go to Church and call themselves Christians are more sinful than the average atheist which I am.
It's the "well gee mom, everyone else was doing it" defense. That's the foundation for all our "exceptionalism". The fact is that the Euros had trashed their own land mass, so they came to the "new" world and trashed it up just like they had the "old" world. And here we are.
Atheism can pose a safety risk to theists, just as theists pose a safety risk to atheists and to other theists. There are folks who use a religion preference as an excuse to pose a risk to others.
LOL you do know that some very high catholic officers aid nazis escaping from the allies after the war. Sorry there was no war open or secret again catholic as catholic by the nazis.
No he is an atheist because his beliefs deny a supernatural being. In fact to varying degrees, all atheists believe they are an end in themselves. [
That is true though, he has his own literal cult following. I suppose that doesn't make North Korea so much of an Atheist country, but rather "Juche" cultists. As much as I love the concept of nuclear weapons, sometimes I wish they didn't exist so the U.S. and South Korea can have just invaded the north a long time ago.
I'd like to know who the source was for this information and who gathered it and by what method. (undoubtedly they were college indoctrinated) So.....Islam is the religion of peace, in your mind. I could bombard you with Quran quotes that show how terrorist atrocities are exactly within its teachings, I can do that. I think it would also be fair to ask you for references where Jesus warranted the actions of the KKK.

You can call them atheists all you want but they weren’t. They went to church on Sundays and all the people that watched the Jews being carted off and stealing their belongings also went to church on Sundays. This wasn’t about atheist so you can knock that silliness off. If you educate yourself you would learn that Hitler killed atheists
I believe this is first time you've ever posted a message I can agree with for the most part. Am I in the twilight zone?
More self imposed denial of historical facts? The inspiration for the holocaust PREDATES the 1942 Wannsee meeting by a couple of DECADES! https://www.washingtonpost.com/nati...35b53ffe736_story.html?utm_term=.e6a6ec9e47a2 Hitler even awarded Ford with the Grand Cross of the German Eagle!
Onus is entirely on you to prove that the motivation for those millions of deaths was solely based on opposition to religion. Stalin did imprison religious leaders who opposed him along with all of the secular leaders who did the same thing but that was politically motivated.
