And your comments would maybe have a sliver of merit . . . if you didn't scramble to ignore Trump's lies at all costs.

I give credit where credit is due. Hillary Clinton is one of the most deliberate, one of the smoothest, one of the most remorseless, pathological serial liars I have ever seen.

She takes First Place in my book. :winner:

When you can't defend your person on his own merits, just invent new moral categories and pretend that no one should be concerned for the truth at all. Of course. That's the ticket.

    That's how the world works?

Blatant constant pathological lying is "the norm"?

Don't EVER complain about ANYONE lying ever again.

My estimation of Trump and Hillary are that they are two completely different personalities.

I agree with others that Trump is a blowhard at times. I also agree that he gets it wrong at times. And when he does get it wrong, he won't admit it. But I don't think he is a carefully crafted, smooth, deliberate, serial liar in the way that Hillary was. She had lying and deception down to an art. I've just never seen anything like it from a major politician. Oh yeah, I've seen 'em lie ... just not like her. It was pathological with her, like it was in her DNA.

But that would be logical. And logic is an anti-Trump plot by the establishment/Democrats/Jews/Illuminati/etc.

I'll agree that Trump's lies are not as calculated, but they are just as frequent and severe. It is in his DNA as well, for anyone willing to honestly observe

I just can't get over the contradiction of Hillary voters who have the balls to get all self-righteous about the truth.

Then try to address us third party voters by addressing the truth instead of trying to divert the subject to Clinton.

Trump is the DEFINITION of a serial liar.

I get that you hate Clinton but your opinion is just that. Most of the "lies" you are so "appalled" at...are not that. For instance...Goldberg's obsession with "lies" about classified e-mails.

Turns out only 3 of 50,000 e-mails were marked with the c that indicates classified. and probably shouldn't even have had that classification. It's widely understood that the government routinely over classifies material...and the rest of the RETROACTIVELY classified material...was NOT marked classified at the time.

Did she lie about remembering those 3 of 50,000? Or did she not remember? Did she even notice? But YOU see that as evidence of being a serial liar with malice...while excusing Trump's clearly pathological lying as somehow harmless.

    Are you KIDDING?

    Trump is a narcisistic sociopath.

People like him not only thrive on being the center of attention, they also gain a sense of control from making everyone around them unsure of that's going on and uneasy. The like setting the room on pins and needles while everyone focuses on what they are going to do or say next. They breed mistrust and anxiety. Which they mistake for power.

Narcissistic sociopaths will lie to further those aims. They will tell obvious lies about well known truths just to create a feeling of instability around them.. They will lie just to get a rise out of people.

With these people, there is always a drama. Often this drama is insignificant and manufacured. But the objective is for the narcissist to be at the center of attention, no matter what. Stability is his enemy. Just as one crisis die down, he will manufacure another.

The thing is, whether Trump simply doesn't have the facts, or he's spouting out something wrong just to argue, or if it's just because he can't admit he's wrong, or just because he's pissed off at someone ... whatever ... I don't think he lies to the American people about what he really wants for the country.

I don't think he lied about wanting to keep companies operating in the U.S.
I don't think he lied about wanting border security.
I don't think he lied about defending the 2nd Amendment.
I don't think he lied about wanting trade fairness.
I don't think he lied about unleashing our military against our enemies and defeating ISIS.
I don't think he lied about wanting to restrict immigration from countries whose immigrants might be terrorists.
I don't think he lied about wanting to reduce taxes.
I don't think he lied about wanting to replace Obamacare.
I don't think he lied about not colluding with the Russians during the election.
I don't think he lied about believing in law and order and supporting the police.
I don't think he lied about his feelings about press coverage of him.
I don't think he's lying when he says he loves the USA.
I don't think he's lying or being deceptive over showing respect for the flag and the anthem.

Now, certainly, you don't have to agree with him on these issues. But I don't think he lied. I don't think he lies on the big things. I think we pretty well know exactly where he stands on the big things.

With Hillary? Who knows? Everything was always nuanced, always a little nebulous - deliberately. Hillary would sniff the political winds before she said anything about anything. And she would twist and turn with those same winds. Iraq? She voted for the use of force against Saddam. Then she said she didn't really mean it. She said her vote was for "leverage", not really to really actually ... you know ... use force. TPP was the "gold standard" of trade agreements, according to her ... until it wasn't politically popular anymore. Gay marriage? Against it before she was for it. She always said she was for the little guy, the middle class, the poor. But quietly, out of the limelight, she took millions and millions of dollars from corporations and Wall Street type companies, foreign interests, while she and Bill were up to their necks in selling uranium to the Russians, while Bill took half a million dollars from the Russians for a single speech.

These are big things, not little things. More big things ...

The attack on the Benghazi consulate was a demonstration against a movie that got out of hand ... until it could be proven that it wasn't. Her private email wasn't used for classified material ... until it was proven.

She was the women's rights leader ... well, not if they were having sex with her husband. Then she was his defender. Not as important, but an example of how politics ruled first in everything, even something as personal as her husband's fidelity.

Lies, lies, lies, deception, half-truths, minimizing, exaggerating, misrepresenting, lies of omission, blaming others ... and all with an impeccable smoothness and confidence. She could lie and look dignified as she did it. I thought her ability to do this was very disturbing.

I could never, ever, have trusted her on matters of war and peace because of this. But with Trump, whether I agree with his decisions or not, I do not believe he will deliberately lie to the American people on matters of war and peace.

So yeah, I see a big difference between the two.

Trump's not perfect. I have never thought he was. He has his warts and imperfections, and at times, I cringe. But still, I am reasonably confident that we actually know what he is trying to do, and, on the big important things, I don't think he is deliberately lying.

What cracks me up is the casual disregard for Trump's fundamental dishonesty.

I guess when someone lies as much as he does and you get used to it...you can tell yourself that you know what he "really" wants...or means...or something.

It cracks me up that Trumpers no longer try to claim he doesn't lie constantly...it just doesn't bother them.

So they weren't actually lies, they were things someone thought was misleading.

What a bunch of crap lol.

Its a way to get numbers for a story you want to write is what it is.
