Obamacare didn’t fix the fact that the US pays more for healthcare per capita than any other country in the world, and premiums did go up when fewer people signed up than anticipated. That being said, the GOP plan isn’t any better, when we experience a 15 million drop in healthcare coverage, premiums for everyone else is bound to go up. It will be like a tax increase for buying healthcare.

Yet you show ignorance about the increases under Obama.

Americans like Obamacare. What a patently stupid statement. Obamacare is the biggest scam ever to be foisted on America. The mandate was a gun in our ribs to enforce this extortion quite like the Mafia's demand for "protection" money from small, helpless business owners. Before Obama came along, America had the undisputed best healthcare in the world. I would be surprised if our healthcare now was in the top 25%. Obamacare was never intended to help anyone it was a cynical attempt at wealth redistribution. Instead of overtly sticking the gun in our face Obamacare used a back door to our wallets in the guise of some sort of humanitarian benificence. This is just the kind of thing liberals are suckers for. Obamacare helps no one, it like all other wealth redistribution schemes just spreads the misery and that is the core of the liberal/progressive wet dream.

The mandate forces people to buy it, increasing funds. Without it, Obamacare is in serious trouble. That is neither a lie, nor ignorance. That is a fact if life.

Do you think it is fair to say the US had the best healthcare system in the world when millions of people didn't have access to it?

"As the U.S. is embroiled in a bitter battle to overhaul its current health care system, a new report finds that the country has the worst health care system among high-income countries.

America ranked last for overall performance and last or near last when it came to data points like access to care, administrative efficiency, equity and health care outcomes, according to a new report published Friday by the Commonwealth Fund, a private foundation that strives to improve health care in America. Paradoxically, the U.S. spends more money on health care compared to other high-income countries, which is notable given its poor performance, the report states.

Though the U.S. ranked lowest in health care outcomes – and performed badly when it came to population health outcomes involving infant mortality and life expectancy at age 60 – it performed better on certain measures like in-hospital deaths in the month following a heart attack or stroke, according to the report.

The Commonwealth Fund compared the U.S. to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the U.K."

That has always been the lie to sell Obama care. No one, including illegals was ever denied medical care if they needed it. If an indigent is injured or ill and is hospitalised there are social agencies that step in to guide that person toward the services they need. In the case of families that find themselves uninsured for one reason or another there are services for them as well. The problem was never access it was the decietful promotion of Obamacare that misled a lot of people who either ignored or were unaware of the services that were available to them. Let's remember that Obamacare had nothing to do with benificence, it was 100% politics plain an simple and much to the detriment of America.

I hear that argument a lot. And yet the biggest factor keeping the US at the bottom of rankings for healthcare among high income countries is access.

Obamacare has not been repealed, but it is up on blocks in the yard, with no wheels, the engine removed, and the tranny dropped. It's only a matter of time before it rusts away and granny turns it into a yard-art planter for her petunias.

You could be right. The Repubs are doing everything they can think of to kill it including intentionally causing premiums to go up.

The individual mandate is the only part of Ocare that a large chunk of americans found unconstitutional. You might recall the media frenzy surrounding the SC ruling it a 'tax.' Thats because its unconstitutional to foorce citizens to buy a product, which is what the individual mandate did, and it would've been a failure without the mandate. Ocare isn't dead, but Trump pulled all the wolf's teeth out, and now it will starve. Its still a wolf, just a harmless one, a mere annoyance, doomed.

The mandate was found to be constitutional by the SC. There haven't been any other challenges to the law's constitutionality.

Of course the mandate wasn’t a part of the original healthcare plan Obama campaigned for in 2008, the healthcare Obama campaigned for in 2008 was public option coverage and not an insurance mandate plan

Failure is not an option. (It comes as standard; designed into the system.)

Obamacare was designed to implode sometime during queen Hillary's reign, so that she could trash it and foist single payer upon us as the only remaining solution. It was unsustainable as designed, this is not a secret. People who are paying attention are not fooled.

That's just silly. If bi-partisan fixes had been applied to the problems that arose from the beginning it would be working fine though it has never been an adequate substitute for a national healthcare plan.

"Americans Like Obamacare. They Just Don’t Know It"'- These are the words of an "elitist". Elitists always know what is best for America. They assume others don't agree with them because they have not yet been "enlightened". Think they would come to the realization that America is "winning" again and they've been duped.

There was never any plan, or desire by anyone in DC, for any so-called "bi-partisan fixes".

Why would cut off part of my post and then say the same thing I said?

Its worth noting that much of america lost faith in the SC on that ruling.

Sorry, that's way too much of a completely unsubstantiated conspiracy theory for me.
