I say that all the time while I am cooking. I am sure my family believes me. Well, my children anyway. ;-)

Okay, Snow is finally tapering off. About 2-3 inches. Illinois and Chicago is good with plowing the ramps and salting that down, they also spray that beet juice with salt down. So the Hwys and major streets are cleared. Side streets now that's a different story.

NW Indiana getting hit with 4-7 inches of snow. Its not going to be fun driving out there. They aren't as good as Illinois and Chicago and their ramps are trouble spots. Even for Semis.

I dunno.Chicago ... Home to Old Blues and also
Resident author Saul Bellows { Humboldt's Gift } who helped
inspire me as a writer.Bellows was a no-nonsense tough Canadian Jew.
His Augie March character was unique and fascinating.
I try to emulate being fascinating embed with every post.
It's not a piece of cake and like any author worth their salt takes
dedication, insight and more often than not a good roundhouse
punch to the sensibilities of culture and mankinds role on earth.

Quiet Christmas Eve... nice to get family outta the way early so one can enjoy some peace on earth. And so one can afford to buy a prime rib roast for 2.

Menu: mashed potatoes, candied carrots, broccoli, fruit salad (ambrosia)... and of course, that slab of rare beef.

    Im here.
I read about your leg. How is it? How are you and how is Cody from that?

Ive been working trying to get a rental we have redone so it doesn't bleed us dry. Yesterday I was plastering walls. A real switch because years ago I would have just been plastered. How far I have come because I am so old now. lol

I worked on the walls in the morning and came home. Cooked a cheesecake for today and a Christmas Eve dinner for us. Today it snowed so there was that and now Im inbetween cooking a ham, scalloped potatoes and spinach salad.
I had to stop to come here to wish my Bar Buddies a very Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas to you and your family Daisy and to everyone.

Between shifts at work now. Working a graveyard tonight and worked a 12 hour day on Xmas eve yesterday.

Xmas dinner at my sisters with all the relatives. Food was good.

Going to bed early now to get ready for tonight's graveyard.

My cat is still sleeping since it is still daylight. So we'll both catch some Z's together.

Merry Christmas everybody in @Smartmouthwoman 's Bar And Grille !!
