Any type of near death experience will too. I was almost killed in a scuba accident. After that I became risk averse and much more careful at scuba.
I'm really sorry this happened L, just glad you're still with us and have the opportunity to make some changes.
Mate, remember I invited you some time ago? Come over to WA, before you decide on the hospital route. The best view any hospital can offer is from the outside.... Regards (Hope you fully recover)
Glad you came through that. I imagine that reassessment of life is an inadequate description of what I would go through if it happened to me. The specter of heart attack looms large over us 50 and older. If you don't mind, can you give us some background on your self; approx age, general health, etc. And describe what happened; pain, etc. Completely understand if it's too soon/personal or if you just don't want to say. Just glad you're still here to be able to talk about it, and I hope you can make some positive change in your life for it having happened to you.
LRL, sorry you didn't get my drift..... I sincerely hope you are around for a long time to come. All the best, reg.
Yep, they're like that. Depending on severity and the follow-up treatment. My first was sorted with angiography, the second a double bypass. That one was damn scary. Main thing is to focus on following suggested therapies (so many people according to my GP just chuck the drugs away when they feel better or less worried) and try to manage any possible contributory factors. Of course some are genetic (e.g. mine) but can be handled with good drug therapy. Best wishes to you LRL, you obviously had good care and that's a damn good thing.
Glad you survived DV. I read somewhere that 35% of people with heart trouble find out about it by dying. Some times a heart attack is the best thing that happens to some people, it has the affect of really focusing their minds and they really get their act together healthwise. Better late than never.
