its a game to claim he doesnt' support GUN BANS, though they are the anchor of the anti gun laws he credits with making those countries safer, while claiming their other laws, most of which have no relevance in the USA (most nations don't have UBGCs because most of them ban private citizens selling guns to other private citizens), are what causes the lower crime rates. Its silly, one cannot pretend the gun bans aren't relevant or a major reason for the lower rates
If I were you, I'd be more concerned with your massive increases in murder, rape, and robbery. Better keep that rape whistle and dye bottle on you when you go out.
That type of question is not only inane, but is one of your signature responses that you think will score points in your game where you are superior in your own mind. America is defined by the constitution... so in your style of debate...what liberties are you willing to give up to achieve you goals?
The term ‘reasonable’ is a term of compromise and concensus; if you can’t do either, there is no reason in your use of the term; just arbritary opinion.
How is it enforced against the federally licensed firearms dealer? The budgetary and manpower requirements of such have already been discussed in detail, and demonstrated as not being viable. More than thirty three thousand new ATF agents, and over one trillion dollars just to pay their base salaries.
The majority of recorded deaths attributed to firearms are criminals killing other criminals. Exactly what makes such deaths needless?
The only reason firearm-related restrictions work in foreign nations, is due to them not having to deal with the sheer number of firearms that are present in the united states. No other country in the world has ever had to contend with a minimum three hundred million firearms, the majority of which are unregistered and thus impossible to find. If their numbers were as huge as those of the united states, their programs would be confirmed as being failures.
Even if we just used the laws we have here already in some states nationwide we would see lower gun deaths
Which doesn't kill people. Look up the demographics of US homicide and compare it to the demographics of Canada and you'll see relevance.
Why would the highest gun homicide cities in these states you refer to suddenly have lower gun deaths if we did this? A criminal disqualified from owning should be arrested and prosecuted in full. What changes if he is caught with an unregistered gun? The gun doesn’t need licensed or registered to arrest him. I want to prosecute him...... you don’t.
290 murders in NYC last year. that's a murder rate of 3.4 per 100,000 and we have very strong gun laws.
Canada grandfathered in the existing guns. Are you ready to grandfather over 320 million guns? They also abandoned rifle registering. I guess we don’t need to register those AR15s.
We have to start somewhere. I would settle for handguns as they are the ones most involved in gun deaths
You don’t need to do more than one thing at a time. He goes to jail without making lawful citizens register to excercize their natural right, protected by the constitution.
So you are ok with only having to register new guns purchased, and grandfathering all existing firearms? That’s what Canada did.
The West was not won, with a registered gun. Or a registered Blue plate special chicken dinner either......
