Other than condemning him for being a womanizer (while supporting Trump who did the same things), how about some actual criticism of MLK?

    He supported affirmative action quotas.

MLK was against meritocracy. He was a progressive.

I will agree that the good he did certainly out distanced any wrong doings.

I don't recall anyone nominating him for sainthood. He was a flawed person, obviously. But acknowledging that does not diminish his achievements in bringing the need to change the racist culture of this country in to focus so it could be changed.

I don't know what he did. I know he had rallies and spoke out about issues. How did he get Congress to change laws, take a look at those discriminating laws and who looked at them? How were states with discriminating laws handled and in what order were things done? What years were these issues worked on and which Congressmen spoke out?

    What happened? Does anyone know?

We're reminded today, thanks to the alt right, how many racist degenerates still permeate society. We're reminded that even though we've made progress, there are still neanderthals who dye their hair and espouse the tenets of national socialism like the Germans of 80 years ago.

You are talking about Donald Trump, yes: an indefensible piece of human filth. And so are those who defend his racism and attack MLK Jr.

    Totally. And Agreed.

That ship sailed a long time ago.

Nobody (Repeat NOBODY) takes anyone defending Trump seriously anymore (on any level).

The UPROARIOUS thing about this phenomenon (That Nobody takes Trump's Apologists Seriously) is the FACT that:

They know that nobody takes them seriously, but they don't care.

In other words, the Entire Contribution of Trump's Online Apologists is just to see who can provide the Most Hilarious Comic Relief.

Nobody takes them seriously, so trying to one-up each other with Comic Relief is all that they have left.

    Period. End of Story. :salute:

A bunch of white boys in the 1960's accusing a n**ro who wanted equal right to be a communist, and of course, you and your ilk lap it up. Predictable really.

And in our memory of MLK, we have no choice but to remember the cowards in the woods with their guns, jaws clenched in fear of equality, liberty, and justice. We remember the entrenched racism, ethnocentrism, and ignorance of the people who stood directly in the way of a hopeful march toward equality; something enshrined in our Declaration of Independence. We remember the people who found themselves on the wrong side of history... most but not all- scared white dudes in the woods with guns.

Go ahead Rise Against, tell us who your heroes are? Let's hear it boss.

Come on, you filthy racialist degenerates, you descendants of the white supremacists, of the sixties, who are your heroes.

This is the dumbest gddamn post I've seen in the last couple of days.

Probably the only true thing you've said.

No one but racists says this.

    No he didn't.

Ever think maybe about seeing if Stormfront is willing to pay your taxes?

The only thing left for them to do is double down on the stupid. They lack the trait of humility, so admitting they were duped isn't going to happen. Might as well ride the train off the cliff.

You probably would be happy standing on a corner holding a Bible and a bullhorn shouting at people they are going to hell as fornicators and adulterers. Or you could do so shouting at the White House.

I said this in another post, and I'm posting it here:

    MLK was a Republican

The LBJ administration did everything they could to marginalize this great man, accusing him of all sorts of vile stuff just as the same type of people are trying to do to President Trump - I have always believed LBJ people were behind MLKs assassination.

The Republican philosophy reflects MLKs assertion that it's not the color of the skin but the content of the character that should be the standard by which a person is judged.

Whatever his personal flaws, Martin Luther King changed the United States in a very fundamental way, and he died doing it. He deserves all the respect he gets.

MLK was no more a Republican than he was a South American socialist.
