This topic has NOTHING to do with liberal/conservative. All areas have child abuse. All areas prosecute it equally. Making this a political issue is just simple minded divisiveness.

 

I have the version, which I've just been watching, of the HOSPITAL that is treating them. Not the media. Directly from the hospital. These children were imprisoned and starved. There isn't any question about that. There are physically in very bad shape. No question about that.

Making this a media or political issue is ridiculous.

 

Hang them. Be done with it. And the grandparents? Hang them too. Any relative that claims innocence...stick them in the gallows as well.

I don't know why, but the woman looks scarier. Probably because one would expect maternal instincts from her. It's not natural. The lack of it subconsciouly tells me she's some kind of monster, an abomination.

One guy is implying the children "appeared happy and well-adjusted" and "the media" shouldn't be trusted. Others think it all comes from degenerate "Calipornia", even though these horrorshows were from TEXAS where they went unnoticed for years. and were only found out when they moved to California. Oh, and there is one guy who finds that all Home schoolers are "granola liberals." (Having obviously never talked to any)

Its a well-known fact in the USA, if you want to beat your own children, become a fundie, they will close around you quicker than a Venus Flytrap if you get in trouble. If you want to have sex with underage children, become a Fundie pastor. Fundies LOVE to send you their daughters for your Holy Harem. I think they all want to become grandparents to the next Messiah.

It certainly sounds like they were that kind of crazy. This is why I have a problem with extreme ideologies. I have not seen one yet that did not produce bad outcomes.

 

They had toys, still under wraps here and there in the house. Also in exposition, apple and pumpkin pies eclusively for the parent's consumption.

It takes a special kind of twisted to imagine such psychological torture. I wouldn't be too kind on them, I think.

According to reports she appeared "perplexed" when asked about the children. It's absolutely NO excuse but these women are often as much victims of the men as the kids. They tend to be Old Testament Prophet types.

 

The Old Testament is weird.

 

I am pretty sure she sees herself as a good, god-fearing woman that did the right thing indeed - hence the tragedy.

The Old Testament really was the Jews preaching to themselves as if they were their own enemies. This is why they seem so hard on them. They weren't talking about anyone else but their own worser natures. The ancient Hebrews were actually mild and benevolent given the norms of the day and the prophets wanted them to be hard on themselves so as to be tough.

 

They have been physically tortured at least by starvation. They are physically and mentally under developed, have a whole lot of problems because they've been starved for years.
