Looks like many parts of Europe are experiencing unemployment problems, with younger people unable to find jobs. http://money.cnn.com/2017/04/13/news/economy/europe-youth-unemployment-france/index.html "After the financial crisis passed, people said there would be more opportunities to find employment. I don't think that is the case at all." (article is from April 2017) You'd have to have been BRAIN DEAD not to have expected this.
Jobs crisis for young people in Ireland (article from August 2017) Looks like Ireland brought in too many foreign workers during its investment bubble. Remember 10 years ago we were hearing Ireland was going to become the big new technology hub of Europe?
I'm sure a 40-year-old migrant named Mahmoud doing a job their parents did at that age doesn't help. The "type" of jobs young people do today are far more restricted than what they were a generation ago. That surely has something to do with the low labor force participation rate.
I take your point there's an underclass who, just like their parents are useless parasites on the decent people of the UK, but then if you're raised by morons, then you're bound to become one yourself? In other words it isn't the kids' fault. I also apologise for the abrupt tone of my remark, but it's based on knowing a few recent school leavers who'd give their right arms for an opportunity of employment.
If you think the youth of today are bad, just imagine the youth of tomorrow. Your country is in big trouble.
Whilst I envy kids their youthfulness but at the same time don't envy them what is to come, I have to say that for some time now - and I'm a very astute observer as I go about my daily life - I've been thinking that they are slowly but surely succumbing to various psychoses. Some of the weird stuff I've seen them get up to have had me fearing for the future of mankind.
The youth of today and the youth of tomorrow will be exactly the same as they always have been. Full of life and vigour and hoping for idiots like you to accept them as such. I'm 55 and have nothing but admiration for how they strive to carve a niche in this world for themselves.
....which is exactly the the same thing my folks said to me as I went off to a Sex Pistols concerts wearing a kilt and combat jacket with doc martyns....sporting blue and red hair as I recall.......
