We would not have had the worst recovery since the GD.

If you believe what you are writing, you must have pulled everything you owned out of the stock market the day after the election. Feeling good about your decision?

I recall listening to an interview of Billionaire Mark Cuban, who hedged big against a Trump win. Cuban allowed his hate for Trump to override intellect, and convinced himself the market would immediately tank. It obviously didn't, and Cuban lost a ton of money as a result. At least he had the balls to own up to his miscalculation.

That never made sense to me. We were transitioning from 8 years of a Community Organizer to a Businessman with a plan to move the economy forward. Most of the people playing Chicken Little were smug leftists who had no clue how the economy works. Even when the Asian Markets were taking an overnight dump before US markets opened, logic said any panic would be temporary and present a buying opportunity. History has validated that train of thought. Most of our PF leftists apparently still haven't learned the lesson.

I understand that responses like this allow you to pretend like you are participating without having to come up with substantive things to say.

If you had any understanding of historical context with regards to the economy, you'd understand how little a president can effect an economy. Especially donnie, who hasn't passed a single thing that would effect the economy in such a way. Looking at charts, you know actual facts, they show an upward trajectory over the last 8 years from the early parts of the Obama presidency.

And the history of supply side economic policies plus going to a territorial tax system with all that money sitting overseas coming back into the US economy plus the reduction of the corporate tax rate making US corporations more competitive and more attractive for foreign investment plus the deregulation all point to ~ 4% economic growth.

I'm pointing out that your post is completely baseless and can only be accurately described as the result of derangement. This is the only way to respond to the TDS on display in this and many other threads.

GWB most certainly is responsible for the economic crash world wide with his missmanagement.

Trump will do anything to get re-elected in 2020. Very interesting, what will be the us national debt in 2021.

I would advise all you guys who see this rise as an unalloyed good to look up terms like "overvalueing" (also price-earnings ratio), "overhheated market" and particularly the term "bubble" In addition to re-reading you college econ texts. You might also re-read "Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowd's" just on general interest.

OTOH this rise does seem part of a worldwide trend. This may mean Trump didn't cause it but he still might deserve credit for making sure we're on it.

Then you know Obama had an upward swinging economy, and handed that momentum off to trump. Very good.

    Lol

The economy was on a constant upswing throughout his administration. He handed over a booming economy, almost full employment and record high stock markets. Trump did nothing, at all, to effect the economy in 2017. That is all obamas
