Irrelevant to what we were discussing, they did not stay in their own country and sort the **** out, why?

No not really. I have grown up with FDR as my president so I know a lot about the Fascists. I was living when Mussolini was killed. I was alive when Hitler was.

I once was like you. But you too can change.

Well, I'm a tad more optimistic. But isn't "solving the human problem" the altruistic goal of every civilization and society in history, not to mention every damn religion?

You will find that I strive to maintain my intellectual integrity, consistently demonstrate the "courage of my convictions" in my words and actions, and always admit when i get my facts wrong or make a mistake. That and my inability to withhold my penchant for speaking truth to power has conspired to clear a few roadblocks and construct a few more during the course of my life and career.

WE can disagree on ideology, interpretation of facts, and opinion. I treat those that express their perspectives with respect, with respect back. I treat scumbags with the same respect that they extend to the people they hate. Their opinions of me bounce of my forehead like facts bounce off theirs.

Or you are an idiot if you believe what a forum poster writes without any source! I have yet to see anyone have a picture of a bacon sandwich removed from facebook, and yet right wing groups love that particular meme!

Being a child of the 30's or 40's does not make you an expert on fascism.

I was alive during the Korean war, when DDE was pres. The accident of our births does not bestow our opinions with any more or less credibility or wisdom.

I won't change. I have spent my entire life developing, constructing and repairing my intellect, its integrity and the methodologies I use to arrive at informed ideology and opinions. A totally conscious life long endeavor. Absent any new factual information or direct experience I doubt I'll change my perspective. Please note, I do not claim infallibility or invulnerability to emotional reactions. I merely claim that my version of the "scientific method" provides a manageable and adaptable infrastructure for acquiring knowledge and formulating my opinions and ideologies.

    How do you do it?

Pence is a normal American with politics aligned with the Founding Fathers. He doesn't have radical ideas and he doesn't work to fundamentally change America into some unrecognizable leftist paradise.

How do I define "normal"? Not a radical loon.

Obama is someone who wanted to turn America on its head. And his scandal-filled administration was a disgrace. I'm not going to list all of his nefarious activities. Just the weaponization of the IRS for political purposes alone was enough to make Obama's reign odious.

I posted something horrible, I used that girl's words to justify Trump. Apparently that's considered derogatory.

Freedom of speech seems rather selective for you when you take offense at what is said or written. How very american of you.

This is the sort of thing I responded to on FB.

If America doesn't have the things Norway has and is a shithole, then what about the countries that have less than we do? You're confirming Trump's alleged comment.

(the above sentence is essentially what I wrote on FB and got warned for)

I'm not the president. In what way do you feel his comments were constructive in working with other countries?

And btw, Facebook can run their site any way they choose. If you're unhappy with their rules, you can post somewhere else.

Her opinion means nothing to me. Millions of people call america a shithole every day, all around the world. Just like millions of americans call other countries shitholes every day.

Why does the opinion one o them ferriners mean so much to you?

I find that quite ironic from a website that only has a "like" button

Sounds like a socialist paradise. No thinking required. Cradle to grave.

My great-grandfather left the hellhole that is Norway 110 years ago.

I have one of my best friends with dual citizenship (U.S. & Sweden). I asked him where he would rather live. He said the U.S. and it's not even close.

Her opinion seemed to be shared by plenty of other people and I enjoyed using her logic to prove Trump was correct. You know something, you libs bashed Trump over his comment and then you've bashed me for writing a single post on FB regarding the anti American hateful bigotry, yet not one of you so called American patriots who think this country is so great that it should be shared freely with the rest of the world seems to have a problem being called a shithole by a ferriner.

And those ferriners don't think Trump colluded with the Russians to be victorious in an election he didn't want to win, that's what the highly educated and intellectual elite seem to want us to believe.
