Right now America needs a president who is qualified to govern. America will never be first with that guy at the helm.

This is pretty much where I stand. Schumer wants a situation where 30 years down the road we're supposed to one again sympathize with illegals who were brought here as children.

I don't, however, want the wall because it won't fix anything. I just want an end to birth right citizenship and work visas for anybody who wants to come to the US.

 

DREAMers are already required to have a clean criminal record, and to have a high school level education in the US. If an individual has a criminal record or was unable to graduate high school, they are not eligible for the DREAM act's protections. Furthermore, the program does not grant them citizenship, meaning they still have to go through a separate immigration process to become US citizens

DREAMers are not US citizens, meaning they are not eligible to receive welfare from the federal government, period. Anyone one of them who receives welfare from the federal government is committing fraud, meaning they are committing a crime that would immediately result in them losing their DREAMer status. Furthermore, the DREAM act does not allow for permanent legal status until the individual has met all requirements within a 6 year conditional period, meaning they must maintain clean criminal record, and have at least a 2 year college education, or have served in the military for 2 years. DREAMers must apply for their status and pay a fee. That is how the DREAM act functions, it does not permit citizenship, that is an additional process.

Proof of the failure of Trump's leadership role are his activities today, or, to be more accurate, the lack of an active role in a government crisis. He has not appeared in public. He is sequestered within the walls of the White House. He hasn't met with anyone at the White House since Friday. He hasn't gone to Capital Hill. And his only tweet of the day, calling for an end to the Senate filibuster, was roundly rejected by Republican congressional leaders. Also, the tweet was filled with lies concerning the Democratic position.

Trump really has no idea what he should do.

Very good point, although I disagree with the notion that Mexican immigrants have much of an effect on the black community, that group has been bought and paid for by democratic leaders and they will never allow those voters to become independent thinkers! The two are as dissimilar as oil and water, Hispanics have proven without a doubt will do/risk anything/everything to provide for their own, whereas many white and black Americans will turn to Government for social subsidies rather then labor!

At some point, many of our less motivated will have to be re-introduced to the idea and concept of working a full time job, and this will never happen if we continue to provide the unmotivated with a source of revenue simply because they continue to breath regularly

 

That's fine, but where does it end? It seems this problem never goes away, and you and I and everyone with common sense knows that, IF, amnesty was to pass tomorrow "Monday" for every Criminal Immigrant, you can bet your ass by the time the clock strikes 12:01 Tuesday there will be new arrivals entering the U.S. all over again, so what's the plan?

 

Care to explain why dreamers who are under DACA protection are being arrested during gang sweeps around the country ?

How many dreamers had their criminal records expunged by liberal activist judges ? Expunging illegal alien criminal records have been going on since 1986. There are lawyers who specialize in just having judges expunging illegal alien criminal records. It big business now days.

 

I notice all the bigots around here indulging in their ignorance have no clue what it takes to qualify for DACA.

But of course the facts don't matter because it isn't about facts its about "feelings". in this case hatred and xenophobia.

5. Had no lawful status on June 15, 2012;
6. Are currently in school, have graduated or obtained a certificate of completion from high school, have obtained a general education development (GED) certificate, or are an honorably discharged veteran of the Coast Guard or Armed Forces of the United States; and
7. Have not been convicted of a felony, significant misdemeanor,or three or more other misdemeanors, and do not otherwise pose a threat to national security or public safety.
