I don't agree. The American people just don't care about this issue enough to amend the constitution. I deal with reality. The reality is you have virtually zero chance of amending the constitution, to remove birth right citizenship. It would take a monumental herculean public outrcry from voters, and the American people just don't care enough to do it.
Nah, just like the 2cd Amendment, felons, retard, domestic abuse can't own or posses a firearm! As far as I recall there has not been a rewrite of it to make these mandate
The supreme court already called bullshit on this. US v Wong Kim Ark. You can't "stipulate" away birthright citizenship. You need to amend the constitution.
So your saying felon, retards, domestic abusers can own a firearm because the 2cd hasn't been altered?
And you don't think it need to be amended, IF, it actually states that if a person knowingly enters the U.S. and has a child it's all come free Clearly that's the heart of the immigration problem, now isn't it..
no, that is a strawman. Due process is already part of the constitution, and is the reason those people are prohibited. There is nothing in the constitution than can remove birthright citizenship.
So let's turn your contention around: Who's to say the politicians are even listening to the people about what they want? Every sanctuary cities for lawbreaking employers are ran by Republicans and are areas where an alternative person has no chance to unseat them. If you know that you have no competition why do you need to listen to all of the people. You listen to the minor and if your the only Republican on the ticket you're getting elected.
Then you're simply setting those parents up for heartache because they are never going be immune to deportation. It's sad that we allow this type of nonsense in this country of THIS magnitude! It's only going to get more and more expensive and to a point where it will hurt 10x worse then it would to take care of it now. No matter, it's our natural born that will suffer the inaction of their parents!
Well you would have to link how even the majority of "lawbreaking employers are ran by Republicans", this is unsubstantiated and clearly bias rhetoric.. If your going to be this disingenuous right out of the gate then its a logical bet that what you have offer later hasn't much credibility either.
The children are not required to leave, only the parents. If the parents wish to leave the child behind it is their call. If the parents want to take the child back to their country of origin, then the child can return at a later date unimpeded. You are dramatizing this a bit.
I am not dramatizing anything. What happens to the kids who stay, and parents are deported? These are all very important things that need considered when trying to solve the issue of illegal immigration.
Umm......of course the Dreamers don't work under and HB1 visa, they would have to leave the country and apply for one and hope they get it. It's easier to simply ignore the laws that all of the HB1 workers don't ignore and are lawful. They are not getting punished so what would be the point for the Dreamers?
