It was discussed and rolled around and the combined legal and political advice and opinion was yes you have the authority if you choose to use it, no we would not advise you using it.

He didn't........why it is being raised as a story again?

What did they hear him and the President say? Who? How were they privy to these private conversations? There are legal protections between the President and his legal counsels advice we need to prosecute anyone who violated that don't you think?

 

Four people were told of the incident. In other words, they weren’t there. They got their information second hand from an anonymous source.

Why are you trying to hide this important distinction? They weren’t there and can’t provide a first hand account, so they really don’t know context and nuance.

Interesting that you conveniently skip over fine points that are critical to understanding what really happened.

 

I wish he had fired Mueller.

For starters, you realize that by casting doubt on the validity of the report, you are also admitting that you provide zero reason to believe your version of the conversation.

Second, attorney client privilege does not apply when the contents of your conversation have been shared to third parties (via someone other than your attorney) or third parties were present in the room.

But if you think his white house counsel Don McGahn should be sanctioned or disbarred, feel free to file the bar complaint.

 

The order was given and refused. The act does not have to be successful to be an abuse of power or an obstruction of justice. The act shows corrupt intent, a guilty mind.

This article is dated 28 Jan 2018 and the article asserts that tRUmp ordered the firing but McGahn refused to carry out the order and offered to resign.

 

It was a REVIVED report from when it was first reported back in June of 2016. The only reason the dems are bringing it back up now is to soil his efforts of getting the economy rolling again causing the lowest unemployment in decades.

IF IF IF it is a new incident, I can't say I blame him. This has been a witch hunt from the onset to discredit him strictly for political purposes. Also Mueller, Rosenstein, and that entire panel that was hired were all major campaign contributors to Hillary Clinton.

If Mueller was truly just doing his job: 1. knowing his bias, he would never have taken the job in the first place, 2. He would have recused himself afterwards when it all came out about his connections to James Comey who obviously covered for Hillary and 3. He would be investigating Hillary as well who is obviously far more corrupt than ANYONE in America's history with the exception of Bill Clinton.

At the very least, Mueller should have hired some republican attorneys as well who weren't Hillary campaign contributors. I mean talk about an obvious set up!

Except... he did, and then backed down. And yeah, I guess you can consider McGahn threatening to resign "legal advice", but I think that's an incredibly imbecile twisting of what went down.

The article failed to show that an order was given to Rod Rosenstein, the only DOJ official empowered to accept an order from POTUS and remove Mueller. Otherwise, it was a lot of ranting and otherwise a non-event. Kind of like your existence here.

Show where an order was given to Rod Rosenstein. An order isn't an order unless it's given to the person who can execute it.

When did McGahn say he threatened to resign? Who witnessed him saying so?

Trump: Well what if I asked you to fire Mueller?
McGhan: Oh I'd probably have to resign
Trump: OK, glad to know that.

Mueller was not fired and besides it wouldn't be the legal counsel who would fire him.
