I would liked to have seen Thatcher in front of that french guy... Mitch Barneybear or whatever his name...
I say make an American Prime Minister, no, not Boris Johnson.. Rich Hall... That would really mess with everybody, wouldn't it.
Hell, even President Trump wouldn't know what to do if an American/Rich Hall became British Prime Minister... Until PM Rich Hall 'if there ever was such one' told him off then he'd be like "Britain are no longer our friends..."
As a pro EU German i don't expect anything from the madhouse your government is. Just pay the money you promised to pay and let it be WTO rules. It will hurt both sides but the UK will suffer far more. Your government doesn't have a solution for the Irish question, neither for Gibraltar nor Scotland. As a member of the EU the UK participates in over 150 international treaties including about 50 trade agreements. Your governement has admitted recently that there is just a single professional negotiator left in your administration and therefore they were begging the EU to help them in the upcoming negotiations which was of course denied. May has tried to convince several countries to copy the EU trade agreements one-to-one and not a single country reacted in a positive way. In the case of a no deal scenario there will be hard borders to the EU and your industry will be cut off the ususal just in time production in the common market. A lot of international companies have stopped investments in the UK which they will cancel complete in a no deal scenario. Just look at the latest statements of the Japanese car producers. Beside that your government will be happy to get rid of such nasty EU regulations which protects workers rights and your environment. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...u-withdrawal-leaked-theresa-may-a8201176.html At least there will be no more EU blaming for your misery. It's just a pity for the nearly 50% of UK citizens who wanted to stay in the EU.
Indeed we can look forward to a return to indentured slavery, pit ponies and child chimney sweeps. And of course massive projects for the construction of coal fired power stations.....yeah dream on...but its a good soundbite....thanks for sharing it..
Blucher is probably a German. The one and only reason the Eurocrats are so frit of us leaving is because they need our subscriptions to pay for their dream of a European Army.
THE EU-27 has a military budget of about 200 billion € and that will be enough. Beside that May asked to participate in PESCO after Brexit. "In one irony noted by EU diplomats, British Prime Minister Theresa May, who attended the summit, was left seeking a way into the project now that it was an actuality." http://www.businessinsider.de/eu-na...litary-plan-but-not-britain-2017-11?r=UK&IR=T
Have I to tell you why an army is needed? Or why it's less expensive to have an European nextgen fighter rather than 5 different?
By the time the bureaucrats of 27 different countries all agree on a common war policy, the war will be over, and the EU will have lost it.
No but it might be interesting from your informed position to describe how its' to be structured? How it will function in terms of command and control...based on the conflicting capabilities of the constituents? How will it be integrated in combat zones for command and control? Will the Bundesrat allow Germans to go into serious combat rather than sending cooks. What will be the force desgination from each country or are you all just going in your own directions? The French are probably the most capable after the Brits so will the French have the main say since the Germans can't decide if they want to fight or hug trees. It's interesting that in most of the current combat scenarios and indeed since and including the Balkan conflict that most of the fighting has been done without any significant "European" co-operation! The "nextgen" fighters as you call them have yet to have a defined role assigned to them - all that happens is you get a bastardised multi-role capability which is great if you want to be sencond rate at everything and specialist in nothing. But then you have to figure on the logistics of their operations and that tends to land on the shoulders of the Americans when operating out of Europe...or is the EU army just going to put down conflicts in Catalonia?? No the idea of an EU army is a political neccessity not an operational requirement. We already have NATO and based on the past performance of "European" combat capabilities I would rather go with that.
As you know, the tories want Christmas every day and free contaceptives in the pudding, all paid for by Europe because they love us so much. Weirdoes.
Sounds a bit perverted. Pity you can't haver a club of one, but perhaps you can merge with the Adolf Hitler Fan Club!
Since many european aircforces are going for American aircraft seem logical to defray the absurd levels of R&D buy theirs. You can buy what... 4-5 block 60s versus 1 Eurofighter.... and I'm not convinced about the Eurofighter!
Adolf Hitler fan club....does it have subscription fees or do you just need a referal and a few white balls...
