I don't believe I quite have the power to force anyone to do anything. I can cast votes for those that agree with my positions and try to change policy. After all, aren't the pro death people forcing their beliefs on me the same way?
Prove 50 million babies have been slaughtered and harvested. I missed that little tidbit of a story. So you agree with me, no one has forced their belief on you.
Sure they have, they believe people should be allowed to have abortions, I don't, yet I have to follow their beliefs and this society makes it legal. Its funny how you don't consider that a force of beliefs yet if we manage to make abortion illegal that would be us forcing beliefs. That's so hypocritical I wouldn't know where to start.
You said 50M babies were slaughtered and harvested. Now you switch to abortions? Make up your mind. You aren't forced to have an abortion. So you are force to believe in abortions. What is funny is by you not being forced to something is forcing you to believe something and it's forced on you. Of course you wouldn't know where to start, there is nothing for you to start on. I don't believe in Santa Claus, and yet it's legal to believe in Santa Claus. But I'm not forced into believing it.
Oh now you change your tune yet again. You said your were forced to have your beliefs forced upon you. Now all you're saying is that your forced to have something legal that has zero impact upon you.. I am forced to have religions legal. So I guess, by your view, I am forced into a religion. But in reality, I am forced into nothing. Just like you. I guess we're all forced into shooting people, cuz guns are legal. Oh, wait, no, no one is even forced to buy a gun.
While I am pro-choice, I do sympathize with your logic because I hear that point made all the time. "Why do you care what they think?", "they are entitled to their opinion" or "sticks and stones". In the end peace of mind is something hard to obtain in American society. Or any other Libertist society. What you and dairyair are talking about is an example of the Freedom Paradox. dairyair wants to be free from people's individual pro-life position preventing the right for abortions, and you want to be free from being forced to live in a society where abortions are allowed. It is true that abortions don't affect you directly, but I can see where your coming from.
Please provide factual evidence of this holocaust with transcripts of the investigations and the locations of the mass graves where these alleged "50 million babies" were found.
Abortion has existed through recorded history. Abortion was LEGAL when this nation was founded and was therefore one of the UNENUMERATED RIGHTS referred in the 9th Amendment. It was UNCONSTITUTIONAL to pass laws banning abortion which is why the SCOTUS vacated those laws in the RvW ruling. So the only "forcing of beliefs" comes from theists who want to violate the Constitutional rights of women.
Abortion is a necessary Medical procedure, and in many cases, It is the only viable option, prohibition of this Medical procedure is not conceivable or supportable in any form.
Society forces nothing on you in this case, any more than it forces you to eat the Veggie Burger at BK instead of the Whopper. As with everything in a free society we all are given a freedom of choice that allows us to live as we wish depending on resources. You even have the "Choice" to move to a society that does not allow the Abortions that bother you so very much, though that may entail the loss of many other choices you also enjoy. You will need to evaluate your own needs and priorities and use this freedom accordingly. In this reality we are given a means of creating our own lives as we see fit, which is the whole point of freedom. Your "Opinion" is just that and your life should be based upon it.....But MINE should not.
Well abortion is IN the Bible in the Old Testament and the Book of Numbers the fifth chapter has a ritual for wives who might have committed adultery where if the seed in the woman is not her husbands it will be expelled and the woman cursed, and if she was innocent she would be cleared and her seed unaffected she being declared innocent so clearly abortion is okay in this case. But just murdering babies is bad as in pagan, toss babies into the fire and their blood cursing the land bad. I would say the only time an abortion is allowed for really is if the woman gets pregnant from sex crime or her life is in danger and the husband or father or male head of the house and failing that some other relative or religious elder or minister over the woman of the house approves of the procedure after praying and looking at the evidence. Most Godly men who love their women in the home would likely support abortion for the life of the mother if its a choice and having the child gestate to a bare minimum age to give it a chance to live isn't practical.
And if we make it illegal here the people are free to go to another society where its legal to have it done. We aren't telling them no, just not in our society.
The entire basis of your fretting is unscientific, non-factual, emotionally skewed, selfish, inconsiderate, and BS.
In OUR society We the People have a SECULAR government that UPHOLDS the RIGHTS of women to make reproductive choices. Depriving women of their rights is going to mean a Constitutional Amendment. Get back to us when that happens, m'kay?
Apparently you were born after the era of wire hanger abortions performed in unlikely clandestine primitive backroom clincs and the many sick and dying victims of those botched up abortion attempts by failed medical students and defrocked Physicians. Not everyone could afford to travel to another Country were such was legal.
Wow, just Wow, did you just cut and paste that from some moldy ancient Babylonian text ? And when does Sex Crime take place, after thought Crime but just before Stinky feet crime ?
This is equally true....however in this country we tried that and found in to be unacceptable, so we changed it. Your IF is no longer a possibility.
