But it is the left's tendency to include Fast and Furious and Operation Cassandra, for example, as being the same caliber of 'fake news' as the pizza nonsense, that makes debate almost impossible with so many liberals/progressives/socialists...

 

Wouldn't that be great.........if when they do provide substantiation for their ratings The Following didn't choose to believe right wing media lies instead of the demonstrably provable facts. Mike Pence I don't get this he doesn't strike me as Ultra conservative. I was told he was profoundly homophobic by people who call themselves LGBT but when I look at what he says and does he strikes me as an ordinary conservative.

The OP misled readers to believe the thread was about a website dedicated to attacking conservative news sources.

It appears that the site presents itself as not being anti-conservative.

It was dishonest and against forum rules.

The rules state that posters can link articles supporting their premise. Therefore, readers might reasonably not have the expectation that a posted link will debunk the premise for the thread.

Maybe some of them are the equivalent of Vox, Daily KOS, TMZ, Huffpost, (none of which were mentioned), others are credible. You don't know what you're talking about.

 

My news sources are the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Politico, and the POTUS channel on Sirius. I also often read The Economist,
Wired, the New Yorker, and a few other magazines along those lines.

As you will note, television is a secondary source of news. I watch Rachel Maddow's program. I am no concerned about her credibility, and take her bias for granted. When she gets something wrong, she usually admits it conspicuously on her program, something you will never see Sham Hammity do.

I also listen to Fox for a while every day, as I noted. I don't watch. Actually, with any of cable TV news, you don't actually have to watch it, since it's mostly dialogue and talking heads.

Maybe you can tell us what you think news is.

 

Some moron saying "this is what I think" is meaningless. Maybe if they have their ducks in a row, I might be inclined to believe them, but that's no different from any other website out there.

Conservative talk radio is a sewer of lies, prejudices and vitriol. It's where the uninformed got to reassure morons that they know all they need to know, and where the presenters pander to the audience. The conservative talk radio audience is not very demanding, as long as the disc jockeys that star on it tell the audience what it already believes and don't get too far ahead.

Fox is right wing talk radio with pictures. Journalism is conspicuous on Fox because there is so little of it. None after 6PM at all. Again, confirmation bias is the core of Fox News. Feeding he fears, prejudices and resentment of an elderly angry white base are what it it about. Which has nothing to do with news or journalism.
