Evidently not by Trump at least. But in the guys defense it was probably Trump that drove him to drink.
Again I say that the top job at the VA does not need require a medical doctor that would be nice but we need a kick ass manager not a drunk doctor.
Yes right on target. BTW we have VA's in our territories such as Peurto RICO, and in foreign countries such as in Germany due to so military retirees expats. It is a give organization.
Ha ha would love to blame Orange Julius but reports are that Dr. Vodka was drinking during the BO administration. Not saying Obama drove him to drink justbstating facts.
If one is going to wreck another's career and professional reputation they need to do it in the open. PARTIZAN1, do you have a name to place on these serious accusations? I thought not.
So he found out additional things about this person, admitted he didn't pick the right guy, and wants to replace him? That's not a sign of weakness, that's a sign of strength.
Oh give it up already. A candidate for a Cabinet or other top position fills out various forms, such as a financial disclosure report and a national security questionnaire. The Office of Government Ethics is available to guide a candidate through the paperwork. The FBI typically does a background check and submits a report. The Office of Government Ethics, along with an ethics official from the relevant agency, reviews the financial disclosures. If they find conflicts of interest, they may help the candidate mitigate them.
And you wonder why qualified people hesitate to serve. It's become a damn mosh pit, why risk it. I think it's time to bring back duels.
Please explain how in Leftgoofyspeak, the President saying he wouldn't blame OBAMA's PHYSICIAN, Jackson, for withdrawing his name in the face of the , attempted, pourely political "hack job" = "Trump throws Jackson under the bus."
Yep, It's all Obama's fault Trump didn't vet him. If you google around a little bit you will find that people in Trump's cabinet didn't want him to hip shoot the guy. A little more and you can find it's a bipartisan hack job. Jackson’s trouble may also signal a new front in the war inside the White House. Aides who‘ve come to realize they can’t control the president have taken to leaking negative information about advisers, Cabinet members and Cabinet nominees in hopes they can shape the president's personnel decisions — or torpedo them entirely — through the news media. Senate Republicans were skeptical of Jackson from the beginning, given his lack of experience managing a large organization. https://www.politico.com/story/2018/04/24/trump-gop-management-flaws-va-green-547917
Jackson is toast. Not qualified. Another swamp monster for Trump's swamp. Except, this one won't happen. The USA just dodged a bullet.
That sound you just heard were the rear wheel of the bus running over Ronny. Shortly after Ronny told reporters there had never been a IG report on him the Whitehouse released an IG report that pretty much said Ronny was having trouble running the small medical department. Stick a fork in this one.
Jeff Sessions, Richard Shelby, Carnival Cruz, and Ivanka Trump have all declared Ronny Jackson morally unfit for the office? Wow. I missed that.
I'm reading "Dr. Ronny Jackson - Obama Praise" on Scribd. Check it out: https://www.scribd.com/doc/377307788
https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/24/politics/ronny-jackson-door-allegations/index.html "I only pick the best people". LOLOLOL!!!!
How do you know he was not vetted? Trumps comments were based on the attacks by vicious people when he said “what did he need it for.”
When did he say that he did not pick the right guy? Trump said he would absolutely support Dr. Jackson if he chose to continue running for the position.
First off, these types of posts where you link Jackson to Obama are really weak. Obama did not nominate him to be the head of the VA. Second, Trump threw him under the bus by saying that Jackson - the man that TRUMP nominated to be the head of the VA - should not run for the position for which he was nominated. It should not be difficult for you to picture or imagine what a full throated endorsement of the candidate by trump, despite clear issues, looks like.
I know he was not vetted because that's the reporting on this issue. Plus, the whole host of circumstantial evidence like the fact that Dr. Jackson's name, as a potential candidate, came from waaay farther than just left field (most potential nominees are known quantities), and the fact that whistleblowers immediately started to come forward as soon as he was nominated (a thorough vetting would likely uncover at least some of these whistleblowers before the nomonation). And finally, the nomination occurred at a time when Trump made a whole host of nominations that all sort of fell into this "rash and impulsive" appointments - like firing Tillerson for Pompeo, firing Cohn for Kudlow, and firing Masterson for Bolton.
I think most libs would agree. Trump handled that situation well. I give him a lot of credit for orchestrating the allied response.
Are you still suggesting that the President's selection to run the VA should be held to the same standard as the President's personal physician?
