No, we'll leave the stupid game of pretending that there is actually going to be a nominating process and of making even more excuses for Trump's serial and very obvious incompetence to you Trumpsters. Now, its time for you to try and deflect to Hillary, or rant about Obama. That's what you usually do at this point.
Admiral Jackson will not appear before the Senate, unless Chairman Isakson decides to actually hold a hearing. Which he will be loathe to do, since he had communicated his own displeasure to the White House even before these latest allegations surfaced. One the other hand, Trump, having been embarrassed by the same allegations (which reflect on the White House's mismanagement of the nomination), is now saying he supports his nominee. Once again, Trump is vacillating back and forth. Yesterday, he hung his own nominee out to dry. Today, he says he's going to fight for his nominee. Tomorrow, it will be the reverse, and so forth. We know that because we have seen Trump behave this way several times before on key issues. This time last year, Trumpian dithering and poor leadership doomed the GOP attempt to kill the ACA. So, should the GOP Chiarman schedule a public hearing which is sure to be an embarrassing spectacle? One which will embarrass even this shameless White House? Or, should they sit on the nomination for months until a slow news day in late summer, and have the White House talk Jackson into withdrawing, preferably late on a Friday afternoon in August, when no one notices. Of course, the caveat is that the Trump White House has a habit of dropping bombs on Fridays. So that might not work. The alternative is to hold the hearings, watch the nominee appear hapless and out of his depth, and discuss these allegations on live TV, and suffer public humiliation. That would be a spectacle that would draw yet another line under Trump's incomptence. But Trump is just the man that is dumb enough to let a sham like that play itself out. In the end, Jackson won't be VA Secretaryl. I feel sorry for the guy, Yet another victim of Trump's casual recklessness and stupidity.
The poorly-managed VA was the last agency that should now be subject to the predations of Trumpery. Amidst widespread opposition within senior White House staff, Trump's ill-considered, un-vetted pick and impulsive decision-making has again created chaos for GOP senators as well as his own aides. The VA deserves much better that yet another Trump farce. His most fanatical cultists cannot contrive even feeble excuses for this one. Flynn, Bannon, Spicer, Priebus, Scaramucci, Price, McMaster, Tillerson, Cohen, Porter, Pruitt, etc., etc., etc. His experience with appointees mirrors his record with bimbos and trophy wives.
Ooohh...an "allegation", COMPLETELY UNSUBSTANTIATED, ....oh the HUMANITY!! Same ol' leftist liesmear train, rolling again...
If they aren't doing the job he wants...he lets them go; as opposed to just "moving" exposed AVOWED COMMUNISTS in the White House staff, (Van Jones, Valeri Jarrett) to another, less-visible government public teat job.... Who, exactly does the VA deserve? Another CORRUPT, LIFELONG BUREAUCRAT, like McDonald, who had " a lot of experience" with management ? AN ABJECT FAILURE. The last thing we need is yet, ANOTHER of the same ol' same ol'....
The allegations haven't been verified, but that won't stop the Dems and their comrades in the media from smearing the nominee. You have to wonder about the zero tolerance policy in vogue today. Suppose the story is true and this is what happened: he leaves a party after having a few drinks, but he's not legally drunk. He backs his government vehicle into a light pole and does $500 in damage to his bumper and taillight. Should a medical doctor who achieved the rank of admiral lose his career over this? That seems a little harsh. Today's America is really mean and unforgiving.
Seems to be "current and former colleagues"..... https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...y-jackson-accused-misconduct-drugs/551565002/ I think it would now be entertaining to watch a Jackson confirmation hearing.... The little I watched of Pompeo's was pretty boring because he's somebody who knows how to handle stuff like that... I would hope not as that does seem harsh.... But somebody has to pay for this administrations faults sometimes and it's not always the perpetrators..... I hope Jackson doesn't lose his current job over the impaired driving allegation, but I expect it will be a factor in his confirmation hearing, should that occur...
Trump at his best! A history of disappointing, incompetent management at the VA? "I'll just pull a name out of my magic butt! Competence be damned!" Jackson is yet one more victim of exposure to Trumpery. The list gets longer and longer.
because it was Trump who installed communists in the White House, right? Der....ummm...duh... Still confused about who Putin's B**ch is we see. Let me help your confusion: And let us all know when it's revealed that the Trump campaign paid $millions to a law firm, to hire a foreign agent, to go buy madeup dirt on Hillary from the Russians, or when Trump took $145 million from the Russian owners and investors of a nuclear power company he was ignoring the crimes of, to help them gain control of 20% of our uranium reserves, OK? Because everyone knows there NEVER was any Trump/Russia collusion, so maybe you can find some of that other stuff, huh?
They are totally contradictory to Obama's assessment of Jackson. So all of this was going on, and Obama, despite being around him on a daily basis, had no idea about it. COMPLETE and TOTAL LIES, from the Professional Liars of the Left...get ready for some skank to pop up, via Gloria Allred, claiming Jackson "harassed her" 30 years ago....
Frankly, that's quite likely. These things consume people. It's politics. Something Donald Trump does not understand. I feel very sorry for Admiral Jackson. Trump used him on a casual and rather cruel way. Jackson had a great gig at the White House. He could have finished his career there, and them double dipped as a spokesman for some big pharma company. That possibility is gone now. Gone because of the incompetence of a self proclaimed business genius who didn't know enough to even interview, much less vet a man he was planning to thrust into the red hot media spotlight. And gone because Trump doesn't have even the most basic decent level of respect for anyone else.
Who, exactly does the VA deserve? Another CORRUPT, LIFELONG BUREAUCRAT, like McDonald, who had " a lot of experience" with management ? You're confused. The "long history" of VA abuses IS OBAMA'S ... naturally, here's the left trying to blame their bullshit on everyone else, per usual.
See ya, Admiral Ronny..... Jackson just withdrew his name from consideration. Thank you, President Trump (for ruining my career)...
And Drumpf's prize "swamp" creature (Dirty Scott Pruitt) is on The Hill today trying to defend himself against an AVALANCHE of criticism. The republican "snowflake" said he couldn't fly coach cuz he couldn't handle a little heckling from some other passengers ... LMAO.
Trump's "drain the swamp" project is, in reality, creating swamp monsters in Washington so he can laugh at America. Picking the worst imaginable people for each job. Jackson, who was horribly qualified, has now withdrawn.
Jackson’s current and former colleagues, at least 23 of them, disagree with you. They claim he was drinking when he wrecked a Govt vehicle, passed out opioids like a Candy Man, and created a toxic work environment. If all the allegations are "nothing burgers" then Jackson should stay through the nomination process and defend his good name. But that's not happening because he has already withdrawn. So...., cheers!
With Trump, it is all about Trump. Without vetting or consulting with his own senior staff, he picked an individual - with no administrative experience commensurate with the importance or scope of the position - who had said nice things about Trump on tv. That made him eminently qualified in the mind of Trump. Maybe, after being exposed yet again as appointing incompetents for frivolous reasons, there will be enough folks on alert who understand that experience and competence is desperately needed to coordinate the monumental task of bringing the VA up to the level veterans deserve. As soon as he begins to blurt our slime ball slum landlord Kushner's name, "Day Care" Kelly needs to jam the teething ring into his pie hole fast!
Really? Considering we started it I think we came out pretty good compared to others. http://www.aei.org/publication/why-has-the-us-recovery-been-stronger-than-europes/ China won't get off so easy next time if Trump's kids get their way and trade them citizenship for investment in Kushner properties.
Nah, Obama was simply that terrible of a president and couldn't instill any confidence in the economy...
If only the blowhard had nominated just Muslims: "We're going to have a thing called 'EXTREME VETTING!'"
