So we all know what an NDA is and that they usually entail payments for silence on an issue. When that issue is a sexual encounter why does that not amount to soliciting a prostitute? Does it ever? Could I pick up a sex worker with the intent to have them sign an NDA and receive payment on those grounds and have everything be legal? I am not necessarily against prostitution, but what does the law say on this issue? I genuinely want to know.
Yes, like have a club, where only the men pay an admission. To have sex with multiple babes. Would that be prostitution? Or a SWINGERS club? I think you have a powerful point. MONEY IS FUNGIBLE.
The real issue is that the statute of limitations is only a year. I have often wondered how you draw the line. I read a post by a woman whose husband started paying her for sex. Is that prostitution? I married an anti-prostitute - I gave her all my money and didn't get laid.
In the sugar baby world, we generally agree to a monthly amount in return for time. Generally that includes sex. After Session started going after websites that advertise prostitutes, they went after the Sugar Daddy sites. But sugaring isn't prostitution. They are trying to bust the escorts posing as sugar babies, but sugaring is legal.
What makes that arrangement separate from prostitution? Is it the extra activities involved? Can I take a sex worker to dinner at McDonalds before the deed to keep things on the up and up? Is it frequency of visits?
As long as you are paying for time and not sex, it is legal. So, for escorts, you agree to spend time together for money. The sex is between consenting adults. That's why you never mention sex while talking with an escort online or on the phone. If you do, you won't hear back from her. Note that escorts have always been listed in the yellow pages. Many cities even have a declared tax for escort services. In sugaring, in my case, we spend a lot of time together. We go out for dinners, concerts, and plays. It is just like regular dating. And I help them out financially.
It is interesting to note that sex between consenting adults, is the only activity that is only illegal if you pay for it.
A clear violation of individual liberty. How is it that - in a nation where the founding principle is "Individual liberty is ABOVE the legitimate authority of Gov't" that the Gov't can tell two consenting adults that they can not exchange money for sex.
I agree that there are legitimate challenges to applying the law fairly, otherwise there wouldn’t be anything to discuss here. With that in mind I don’t blame you or anyone else for seeking arrangements that work for them when there is consent.
One word: Religion But Victorian morality plays a role as well. Between the two, Americans have been seriously screwed up sexually. In fact, in her special Sex and Love Around the World, Christiane Amanpour is finding that many countries had a very healthy sexual culture until Christianity came along and decimated their culture.
I like to throw it in people's faces. There are all of these stereotypes that simply don't apply. There is a dark underbelly in the sex industry - sex trafficking, sex slaves etc - but normal, decent people don't get involved with anything like that. I have met many wonderful women doing this - a lot nicer than my ex wife! And I treat the women like queens. They know a night at my place means a night of being spoiled and pampered. My first sugar baby eventually grew to love me, and said so. I was madly in love with her and would have married her. And I may have found love again with my new girl. It is nothing like it seems. They are real relationships between real people. Escorting is a lot more impersonal. They don't generally want to get into a relationship. But many escort and Johns get to be great friends. Sometimes they even get married! The other obvious upside: My sb is 21 yo and gorgeous! Stunning! It took 119 coffee dates to find her. She also has a 3.95 GPA in her senior year of college. She is studying a branch of neurology. She is smart, driven, fun, beautiful, and we have a fantastic time in bed. When we are together, all is right with the world. Like I said, it is not what it seems.
Stormy wasn't paid to have sex with Trump. She was paid not to talk about the sex she had with Dear Leader. You're welcome.
He paid her. He even tried to pay the Playboy bunny but she refused to take the money. That's what she said in her interview. Stormy's friend, who was invited to join them, said it was $10K, which is exactly what I had guessed. She was there and listening when trump offered the money on the phone Reality check: Rich men buy prostitutes all the time. I'm not sure if Melania was a prostitute or a sugar baby, but one or the other.
While the situation did bring the question to my mind it was not explicitly the point of the OP. But since you bring it up; why is it legal versus me making the same arrangement with a sex worker on a street corner? Should it be seen as different?
Speaking of "prostitution". Melania marrying a MORBIDLY OBESE OGRE (like Trump) is a textbook example.
Do you pay street walkers not to talk? Do you have sex with street walkers without paying them, and then 12 years later pay them not to tell anyone you had sex with them?
Trump cheated on his wife with another woman. Many years later, he paid her not to tell anyone about it. How in the hell did you people come up with the idea that has anything to do with prostitution?!?!?!
Well that is not the usual practice for most, and it seems that is were it becomes illegal. Doesn’t make sense to me. If I have a contract to be signed by a sex worker where I pay for silence pertaining to a sexual act, does that make it legal? Should it?
There is nothing illegal about it, and I am frankly baffled as to why you would even think it might be. Trump never paid her for sex. Therefore, your attempt to make it about a "sex worker" is fallacious.
You’re saying that the difference between a John seeking a prostitute, and a legitimate legal contract is paperwork?
