It seems like what he is saying is that traditional education is stupid because he thinks it's arbitrary.

It makes me really wonder if he feels that way when he visits the doctor.

It does not seem to do him much good that he repeatedly points this out. His detractors cannot hear him. Whenever I see him debate those from the left, it does not take long for them to stop debating him and instead, calling his names. ha ha. The reason is, they cannot keep up with the man, using facts. So whenever you see this, you know he just cut their legs out from under them and they resort to habits. Attack the messenger, for you do not have the intellectual ability to argue against his points. Nor it seems the honesty. So, I generally turn off the debate at that point for it will continue to go downhill into even more absurdity. It does not take him long to show up those who will debate him from the left. But you always run into this when you come up against a man who has studied this stuff for his entire life, and has the facts and peer reviewed studies and research to back up his positions. He is so well grounded in that and has no time for lefty BS. And he has an outstanding intellect, no doubt the result of his whiteness, or rather white privilege.

I find it telling that from what I can tell, Jordon is from the left, and is in no way a right winger or alt right. He is just an earlier kind of left leaning person, those that did have facts on their side. Instead of fantasy, rainbows and unicorn thinking.

As an FDR liberal, I find myself in common agreement with most of what he says. Like him I cannot relate to the racial left, what he says is post modernism, a conduit for marxism, and marxist thinking.

Depends on what that reason is. For instance the primary reason is in Job choices. Construction and production are male dominated jobs that pay two to three times minimum wage and in some cases more. They are male dominated because women don't even show up to apply for them in significant numbers. Both are also jobs that require significant training and skills. On the other hand child care is dominated by women, it pays minimum wage, and anyone can change diapers. It is female dominated because men don't show up for interviews because the pay sucks.

Heidegger had infected the liberal arts departments before anyone discovered who he really was. I doubt that they will ever recover.

"Revelations concerning the profascist involvements before and during World War II on the part of the distinguished critic Paul de Man and the philosopher Martin Heidegger have provoked scandals in the united States and Europe that continue to generate controversy. At issue is whether de Man's deconstruction and Heidegger's philosophy of Being were influenced by the past political commitments of the two men and if those who have been shaped by their ideas have not been "contaminated" as well. If so then significant currents in postwar thought must come to terms with an intellectual debt most would prefer not to acknowledge." Richard J. Golsan, Editor, Fascism, Aesthetics, and Culture, University Press of New England Hanover NH 1992. P x.

Well I was trying to wrap my head around his statement that he couldn't express his understanding of post modernism without giving us an education he admits he himself hasn't received.

Maybe that in itself is a good example of the essence of the gibberish known as post modern thought.

I would do the tribute that to nihilism and self-aggrandizement. Nihilism because he doesn't seem to believe that traditional education is anything but arbitrary.

Self aggrandizement which should be self-explanatory but I want to leave no room for ambiguity, he thinks that he is special that he can obtain education through other means without reflecting on it or having his worldview challenged because his worldview is the right one and if yours is wrong then you need to be educated.

    this isn't post-modern it's gone past post-modernism it's regressive it's De-evolution. And that's why I disagree when Jordan Peterson calls it post-modernism. It's tribalism it's not even modernism.

It's no accident that they are referred to as the regressive left.

    Wrong.

It is fact they are not paid less.

    They EARN less by choice.

It is a free will thing which is quite real and irrefutably so.

Companies do cost benefit analysis. I have yet to see that done by government. Certainly true is that I have not seen internally into all governments, but do not ever hear the Congress Federally speaking of this. And should even one congressman speak of it, it vanishes like the fart in the wind.

Why doesn't government worry about cost? Sucker taxpayers who are not able to obtain figures to work with nor see any studies done. But come election time, we voters actually do not vote with our pocket book save one major thing and that is taxes. Naturally we want lower taxes.

And if you look across the entire heirarchy, you see that while men occupy more spaces at the very top, they also occupy the most spaces at the very bottom. There's more men in spaces that require brutal manual labor. There's more men in spaces that contain high risks of death. So the progressive's simple description of the cause of the distribution falls completely apart if you look at the entire distribution, instead of just focusing on one part of it.

    I think that's precisely why.

If you look at them they are trying to break everything into tribes men against women black against White LGBT against straight people and so on. This isn't post-modernism it's the opposite.

You did not explain anything. You just continue to attack anyone who disagrees with you.

That was more than enough long winded existential horse crap than I can generally stand in the first paragraph. Not because I don't understand it but because there is really nothing there but a lot of self serving clap trap pretending to be erudite.

Because they choose to. It's not like there is no knowledge of pay rate upon choosing a career.

Workers are capitalists as well they can obtain skills and wealth of Their Own if they choose to.

The idea that there's a system that prevents that is just a communist Fairy Tail.

Here let me make this real short and simple, Post modernism is the self serving philosophical view that everyone who wrote anything before the post modernist came along is a lying power hungry bastard who was to damn stupid for his own good, and should not have been let out without a keeper let alone allowed to publish. It is noxious, annoying, and once you wade through the excessive verbosity, shallow almost beyond belief. These less than endearing traits are compounded by the use of long often seemingly randomly constructed sentences that appear to be little more than an attempt to make up for a shortage logic with excessive verbosity.

Oh, I learn things from the people I actually argue with. Here's the thing: everyone on this damn website wants to talk about the same 3 ****ing topics that never go anywhere and I'm just not having that bullshit. I have genuine fun arguing with people who will actually engage with what I think, but a lot of you just want me to sit there and advocate stalinism so you can regurgitate cold war propaganda and feel smug about it.

Quit trying to say "no, you don't believe that, you believe x" and I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you aren't a moron.

Seriously, imagine how you would act if there was a small handful of lazy stock arguments liberals kept smugly annoying you with all day and they refused to ever acknowledge that political ideology isn't monolithic dogma.

You're just refusing all forms of systemic analysis and acting like everything happens in a vacuum with no influences beyond free wills.
