Your politics is dripping out all over your mistakes. That is the National Inquirer and I never cite that publication. And you talk about ad hom. You specialize in them.
Return to the ice covered earth for a few moments. Do you recall an ice covered north America? Do you happen to recall when Yosemite Valley was ice covered three times? Few realize how it cycled through ice age to warm age. Do you follow the history of the great lakes? We do not dispute that is is warming, we do dispute man is the fault. Why is this? It has happened over and over.
The warming from the ice age took tens of thousands of years and resulted from changes in the earth's orbit and the greenhouse gas release after the initial warming. This cannot explain current warming.
So, which particular myth is she regurgitating this time? https://www.skepticalscience.com/skeptic_Judith_Curry.htm And DAMN but she has a lot of strawman arguments in tha load of crap Cherry picking Quoting out of context Quoting out of date references Broad unsupported statements Wishful thinking
Sea level rise will create trillions of dollars of damage from the cities that are flooded and the people who have to migrate. Even though times will be hard we will maintain our current technology and keep pressing forward.
Townhall is not much above national enquirer RIGHT BIAS These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward conservative causes through story selection and/or political affiliation. They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage conservative causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy. See all Right Bias sources. Factual Reporting: MIXED Notes: Townhall is an American politically conservative website and print magazine. Previously published by the Heritage Foundation. The website also publishes news articles from the Associated Press. Townhall has a right wing bias through story selection and sensational wording of headlines. However, they do tend to source their news content well. Opinion pieces have a very strong right wing bias. Further, a Townhall editor has also published a Pants of Fire claim. Overall, we rate Townhall right biased in story selection and wording and mixed for factual reporting based on a failed fact check. (7/19/2016) Updated (2/9/201 https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/townhall/ Hmmm published by the Heritage foundation tied to Koch Industries and a known front of climate change misinformation https://www.desmogblog.com/heritage-foundation
You made an accusation that information about sources of warming weren't being cited. I'm pointing out that such information has been cited over and over again.
Don't tell me. Do something, Catch your hair on fire and shout it is getting hot and you refuse to take it any longer. I live 27 ft above sea level and tell you the ocean is a long ways from getting me. i don't care.
Yes There is a name for an attitude like that Now is it consistent with Christian values?? BTW where is your rebuttal? That IS how debate goes you know
Melting of floating ice is not the reason for sea levels to rise but the cause of floating ice to melt is due to rising air temperature and rising sea temperature. As the floating ice melts the temperature of the sea will begin to rise causing land based ice such as glaciers bordering the sea to melt faster which will cause sea levels to rise. Antarctica is composed of land based glaciers bordering the sea. This can all be proven in a simple experiment at home using cubes of ice and a glass of water and a little ingenuity.
I have a number of factual problems with this observation. First, it assumes that we in fact know that there was "no ice on the planet' which frankly we don't. We simply don't know whether this is true, whether the drift of the continents was capable of producing a record of non land ice at the poles. Can't be done. So, yes, the temps during the dinosaur age likely were higher. But we cannot know whether there was ice on the poles or the planet at the same time.
So what is your theory for explaining sea level rise in the past? If melting ice had no contribution, which the vast majority of evidence supports, then what was it?
Magic climate change fairy of course!! Same fairy as has been causing the naughty global warming problem that is not caused by CO2
Yeah, who cares of tens of trillions of dollars worth of economic value and hundreds of millions of people live within reach of sea level rise as long as Mr. Robert keeps his head above water.
