Hope you didn't waste a lot of time with that analogy, bank robbing is a criminal offense, seeking asylum isn't
crossing the border with out proper authorization is the legal procedural is you put in an application for asylum then when you get approved for that asylum you then enter
If this policy which originated before Trump put fear and stress on the parent of these children then I think that alone will have a positive effect on the problem of illegal immigration by families. Remember that the goal is to discourage these people from entering the country. I'm sure you agree that we don't want them here.
The policy never had "zero tolerance" to include taking young kids from their parents. So your saying we should employ separating young kids from their parents in a strange scary environment for the kids as a deterrence? Then why is Trump and all the other Trump surrogates echoing that it is an upsetting policy and they want to end it?
Can't, no one in any legislative body wants thier name on that one and especially not Trump, even though he is doing it
their parents have and we separate kids form their parents every minute of the day when those parents break the law
I think its okay to separate these children from their parents if it is having a positive effect in reducing illegal immigration. It don't sound very nice and I'm sure its not pleasant but why should we create a pleasant situation for illegal aliens? I'm sure you agree with me that we don't any of these people in our country. Why are Trump's people talking about it the way they are? To put pressure on the Dems come to table and make a deal om immigration that will get passed by the House and Senate and Trump can sign.
never did? Obama was doing it through out his term you just never heard about it because the liberal media covered for him this is nothing knew Obama actually was putting kids in cages it just all of a sudden became an outrage when Trump became president Obama’s Immigration Agencies Separated Children From Their Families, Too https://lawandcrime.com/immigration...s-separated-children-from-their-families-too/
because our immigration procedures and policies need to be fixed and until they are fixed we have no choice but to do what the law requires us to do at the present and if you don't like what the law requires us to do then pass different laws it is that simple
Dude. Really. That’s the best deflection from my questions you can come up with? Why are you even here kid?
And until they can prove that we detain them and incarcerate them. When we detain and incarcerate US citizens what happens to their children?
When they are taken into custody for a misdemeanor and they are awaiting a trial that will determine whether or not that misdemeanor should be waived due to a legitimate concern for well-being? I can't think of a single instance where we separate children from their parents for that when citizens are involved.
If the drunk driver and shoplifter were committing only misdemeanors and were doing so specifically to protect themselves and their kids and were awaiting trial in order to make that argument, you might have a point. Until then, your analogies make no sense.
shoplifting and most drunk driving case are misdemeanors and many of those parents sit in jail for months awaiting trail because they cant make bail
How many of them are in jail for misdemeanors and awaiting trial to demonstrate that their misdemeanors are justified? Point them out and I'll advocate for not only reunification with their family but release until their trial too. And will do so gladly.
