well other than the fact that i provided a link about an individual who had his money seized because he carried more than $10k, you might have something. now keep feeding those conspiracies monters under your bed of stupid ideas and have the facts before you post.
Right, if we hadn't gone then there would be fewer Somalis to immigrate and cause problems in the US.
yeah they must declare it, so your notion it is being smuggled out under the noses of the inspectors is just one more utterly stupid and unfounded conspiracy.
Quite a few, I imagine. Remember, we are dealing with pirates here. Their greed and larceny knows no bounds.
So, you might want to go back and read the report. They are declaring the money. I never suggested, nor did the report suggest, the money was being smuggled out under the noses of anyone. Well, other than how it was collected. To the point though, had you read the article, you would have noted this sentence about taking out $1 million: "Travelers can do that, as long as they fill out the proper government forms." You're just digging deeper mdrobster. Sometimes it's best to admit you blew it, and move on. Compounding the error is never good for maintaining one's credibility.
Bags containing US$9.6 million have been intercepted by Somali security and customs forces at Aden Abdulle International Airport in the Somali capital city, Mogadishu. The UAE ambassador to Somalia, Mohammed Al Hammadi was at the airport to receive the cash that arrived on board a UAE airplane from Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the UAE. According to reports, the UAE claimed the money was sent to the Somali defense ministry, and it “was seized at gunpoint by Somali security personnel, who disrespected some members of the UAE forces.” A Somali diplomat told Gedab News, “of course, every country seizes money found entering the country illegally and security forces all over the world carry guns.” The stash of money arrived aboard a UAE Jet plane, an Emirati airline that services the “luxury market between the UAE and Europe.” continued http://awate.com/millions-uae-cash-money-seized-somalia/
Ok. Now, think carefully for a minute. What does your post have to do with the claim: "The most any single or group of people, family or otherwise traveling together, can fly out of the country with is $10,000 collectively. "
Muslim rape gangs victimizing thousands of white British girls ignored by the authorities sounds impossible, too, yet it happened. It is your incredulity multiplied by millions of "see-no-evil" liberals which allow these criminals to get away with it.
Can you see how Fox screwed this story up? Bags containing US$9.6 million have been intercepted by Somali security and customs forces at Aden Abdulle International Airport in the Somali capital city, Mogadishu. Well except for the fact that all he had to do was fill out a form and his cash would have been on it's merry way. Hey keep sticking with your lies it allows us to see perfectly clear who we're dealing.
Yes it is. But what did your post have to do with the erroneous claim? As the article in the OP and the regulation I posted pointed out, people can take any amount of money out of the country, as long as they fill out the proper forms for amounts over $10,000.
The issue being reported in the OP was the means by which the money was obtained. The article pointed out it was legal to remove $1 million, if it is reported. How did you miss that, and then claim an individual, or a group collectively, can't take more than $10,000 out of the country?
Your post was about the UAE Ambassador, etc.. Just read it again. Post #82. Where in that post to me did you mention excess cash? I'll save you some time - NOWHERE. So what are you going on about?
It give the story a more conspiratorial air? The fact is the money moving isn't really the issue - as near as I can tell it's all above board and perfectly legal. Until proof to the contrary I see it as people who live and work here (refuges) doing what they can to take care of their families back home through the only legitimate, albeit less then ideal, method. What I was most concerned with was the fact that some of the money came from daycare fraud. Fortunately based on additional reading it seems that's being handled, however slowly by state and federal agencies.
Its not important unless you go back and read the whole thread.. The money did NOT fly into Dubai.. it flew into Somalia.. Fox completely screwed up the story..
unfortunately theft is every where. as with my fellow posters, their penchat for gossip and controversy overrides any rationale. good post.
Excuse me? I'm not required to read all your posts. You replied to my post - With something that had nothing to do with it. My posts focused on the erroneous claim an individual, or a group, collectively could not remove more than $10,000 from the US. Somebody screwed up, and it seems they can't bring themselves to admit it. And that is SOP for many here.
i already provided the limitation and what was needed to carry move than $10k in a previous with a link. that said, the op, as well as others, especially trump supporters blow up every incident into a melodramatic issue of grave severity no matter how petty.
This was the claim, which you "liked". "The most any single or group of people, family or otherwise traveling together, can fly out of the country with is $10,000 collectively." This was your comment to that claim: "facta never get in the way of the daily feeding of the monsters under their beds." And you went deeper: "fyi, the bags are screened and as one other poster informed you, there is a $10k limit when traveling. once again, trump supporters have their panties in a twist over false allegations and cant be bothered with basic facts." Pretty strong words for someone who claims they knew the policy. BTW, nowhere before your post #60 did you post any facts about the money. Of course, that was after a poster pointed out your were wrong. #50 Tough to escape the fact of the written word.....
