many places in the world are moving to decriminalise abortion. In fact America is one of the few places on earth where legislation is pushing to increase criminalisation of abortion. https://www.reproductiverights.org/.../files/documents/WAM_GlobalView_2014 EN_0.pdf My home state in Queensland Australia is finally moving to take abortion out of the criminal code. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-07-16/pro-choice-rally-in-brisbane/10000606 Please note all those pushing for criminalisation of abortion. Having legislation banning abortion does not stop it happening
I have no issues with abortion but I think we don't pay for it! No freebie abortions except in extreme cases (Incest, rape, etc) but no restrictions on abortions either. I would fund it like student loans everyone can get one but you will pay for it in the end! Also better access to contraception because when you abort 20% of the babies something is wrong.
! You don't. No restrictions is good.....restrictions are unnecessary. There's nothing wrong if the exact number of women who want an abortion get one. NO one is under any obligation to use BC....it's a choice.
And I would assume that the NHS pays for other legal medical procedures??? That's what an abortion is.....
That is purely down to your POV to me it's a lifestyle choice so you should pay for it like you have to a nose job or even most dental work in the UK (This is mostly not free but there are exceptions). Funding should always be there so they can have an abortion but they should pay for it.
I see you have no idea what an abortion is or you wouldn't compare it to a nose job....it isn't cosmetic surgery... BUT I am so happy for British women if they can get free abortions from your NHS
So a nose job is not a medical procedure? I was merely pointing out both are lifestyle choices not that they are similar in any other way. Both are medical procedures, both are lifestyle choice, the absence of the procedure in both cases will not harm the patient. Very sad you cannot see that and go instead with the reflex reaction of twisting someone's words to fit you point of view.
No, I did NOT say that, you twisted it to suit yourself. I SAID I see you have no idea what an abortion is or you wouldn't compare it to a nose job....it isn't cosmetic surgery... It isn't COSMETIC SURGERY. Very sad you cannot see that and go instead with the reflex reaction of twisting someone's words to fit you point of view No, becoming pregnant and /or having an abortion is NOT a "lifestyle" choice the same way driving an expensive car is. Women did NOT choose to be born female. You act like if they had surgery on any female body part it's a "lifestyle choice" because they chose to be female....how asinine. That would've been YOU in your first sentence....
Are you aware that the SAME procedure used for abortion is also used for partial miscarriage and other gynaecological interventions? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dilation_and_curettage Tell me how are you going to fund one and not the other?
An unwanted pregnancy by definition is not a lifestyle choice Now i am putting money on the fact you are going to tell me that condoms are very affordable and reliable Anyone else betting that there is one more person ignorant of the failure rate of contraception?
I think the comparison was that is it not necessary. If you have an ugly honker, you should not expect me to pay for your surgery. If you can't keep your legs together, you still shouldn't expect me to pay for your abortions. On a side note, those with an ugly nose are less likely to get pregnant!
Of course you do. Queensland may have some fine Heelers but we don't have to lower ourselves to your principles.
So how do you differentiate between a d&c done for unwanted pregnancy and one done for partial miscarriage? Are you going to have open access to medical records?
In America aka The USA we have 50 states and 5 to 14 territories. Each of them is sovereign by and large, and freedom means each of them can decided how they want to treat scraping unborn children out of a momma's cunnie.
And suppose they outlaw abortion. What is your solution to the thousands of unwanted children? Still not as good as being "Assaulted by a fetus"!
I still have no idea why you're babbling about being "assaulted by a fetus" especially as a response to this : """"""""""""""""FoxHastings said: ↑ Is "momma's cunnie" a philosophical term ? Oh my, how high minded and "philosophical"" !!! """"""""""""""""" ....and don't care.
If it was mine( although I don't think I said anyone was "assaulted by a fetus") why do you keep repeating it ? And WTF does it mean? Did you have a point?
