    Superpowers are defined by military might, diplomatic influence, and economic strength. All three are required, although some folks have been trying to add cultural influence to the mix recently. This has been known for decades...

    Crowder thesis was true in the 1950's and 60's but has disappeared since we entered the 1980's.Since then Americas middle class has been decimated and surpassed by most European countries and some Asian.

    Except that the discussion isn't about America being a super power which it clearly is. The OP's contention is that America is Superior. America is superior militarily although how that actually benefits its citizens as opposed to its military industrial complex is hard to rationalize. And being militarily superior hasn't done us much good since WW2.

    That is so sad. There is more to a country than military might. Little things like quality of life, culture, education, happiness, etc. so sad to live on your one dimensional world.

    Your definition of superiority still revolves around the ability to push other countries around rather than any superiority as it affects the lives of the citizen. We are still somewhat arguably superior as a world power although Trump is eroding that rapidly but there is another more important superiority and that is superiority in the quality of life of a country's citizens. And at that America does a pretty good job but hardly a job superior to all other countries.
