No person has that right. It doesn’t matter if the person is a 35 year old or a two month old fetus. No person has the right to use another person’s body against their will, even to save their own life. If I was dying and you were the only person who could save my life by giving me blood, no one could force you to do so even though blood is a perfectly renewable part of you. Body autonomy is an established legal principle.
I do not dismiss your objective of holding to the millions per year of abortions either. i think how you go about this is how i would do it were I all in favor of abortions. So, since you want less abortions, per other comments you hint at, how do you go about this?
There is an argument that if a fetus has reached a stage where it could live independently of the woman, it must be treated as a separate person.
I’m not a lawyer, but if you are saying the right to body autonomy doesn’t exist, I’ll be sure to have government agents with guns kick your door next time anyone in my family needs an organ or blood.
You should look into that. You seem to have been working under the proposition that laws against women are the only possibility. But, that's not true at all. I already posted a link to one article addressing this. Luckily for us, other nations (like Canada) have laws against abortion that are more lax than our own - or non-existent. So, we can get an idea of how much difference laws make. Plus, it can lead to analysis of what other moves against abortion might accomplish. Explaining all the approaches in one post doesn't even start to make sense. But, they do include education and they include identifying and addressing the various reasons women choose abortion.
I'm not interested. I just thought you might care that there is an argument concerning fetal viability.
America is wracking up the dead and hardly bothering to count them. But we do count Hitlers victims. Stunning to think about.
See folks? The irrational response of a person who is okay with murdering children. Apparently, if they cannot murder babies, that makes them a slave, whatever the heck that means
As I stated, the law not allowing the mom to kill her teens is one I fully endorse but tend to doubt you would. Why? it is against the woman. It is a full stop restriction on her right to her children.
Ten in all Margot2. 6 were for 3 years, 4 from birth or very young till college ended. Actually 2 went to college. 1 is currently a Jr in college. As to siring, 2 daughters.
When those camps were built, they were actully work camps. Poland was conquered in 1939 and the brutal mass murders commenced in 1942. Course the Germans did not change the name over the gate. In English, the way I would say it to make it sound more American is Work makes a person free. But a Person is not in that sign. But it sounds more reasonable.
DNA science proves that the babe in the womb is not part of the woman's body. Unlike a hand or a foot or a lung or a heart which will give the same DNA match, the babe has different DNA which scientifically proves that the babe is a totally unique, separate individual. That is why abortion is MURDER, and that is why "My Body my Choice" is nothing but a hollow ignorant political slogan.
Apply body autonomy to the baby in her. Believe it or not, once the cops could kick in the door and arrest when she killed her unborn. If you recall, Roe v Wade only happened to reverse state laws. State laws at the time considered by most to be constitutional.
Well considering you want the government to seize the ownership of the bodies of all pregnant women, that would be defined as slavery.
That's a ridiculous response.
Correct, it’s not part of her body. It’s a separate person. And no person has the right to use another person’s body against that person’s will, even to save their own life.
