In many ways, Australia and New Zealand are practically like the same country, similar culture, similar origins from the British Empire, a similar geographic region of the world. Similar speech accent too (definitely differentiable, but pretty similar in comparison to other parts of the English-speaking world). Yet since Australia has taken tough stance on immigration there have been many who have been deported back to New Zealand. The motivation behind the tough policy is probably motivated by other countries besides New Zealand, but it would be awkward for them to discriminate and make an exception for just one country and not others.
Because Australia has a long history of 'tolerating' illegals from NZ. It's not really cool, eh bro, when other groups are rounded up and deported.
Not only Kiwis. " A senior WA bikie has been locked out of Australia after Federal authorities cancelled his residency visa while he was holidaying in Thailand, preventing him for returning home to his family. Rebels member Kevin Michael Lawrence, 56, came to Australia from Britain as a child in the 1960s and has several children who were born in WA and are Australian citizens by birth. But Mr Lawrence never applied to become a citizen, enabling authorities to slam the gates shut on him as he left the country last week to attend a motorcycle show in the Thai resort town of Pattaya. Mr Lawrence claims he was given no notice of the decision and it was only when he tried to board his flight back to Perth this week that he was told his visa was no longer valid and that he could not travel." He was blocked on "character" grounds early this year. https://thewest.com.au/news/wa/seni...hailand-after-visa-cancellation-ng-b88746157z
Yeah who is gonna teach them to cook crack, the proper way to knee cap someone or how to hot wire a Harley?
How amazing, we shouldn't deport internationals for committing crimes in Australia... I am pretty sure every other nation does the same, it has nothing to do with immigration policy... Sounds like another blind greenie. And if they do get deported Australia is separating families… Are they imprisoning them??? Are they detaining them from leaving the nation, no… but apparently the family is unable to do anything without one member… how absolutely amazing…
They are mostly biker gangs and Jim David Thacker from New Zealand caused a lot of trouble in Australia as the founding president of the Bandidos gang's Beenleigh chapter. The Broadbeach brawl instigated by the Bandidos gang led to the introduction of the toughest anti-bikie laws in Australia, resulting in a crackdown on non-citizens committing crimes on Australian soil.
Au Pair Pete will make sure that all white Christians get more than a fair go especially for his mates. Not a good look
He's an Idiot. Those things always come back to bite you and they are the cause of embarrassing nicknames!
The very best sort of criminals. Don't know if they were the same as the ones sent to the American colony.
