Meh - sports has gotten way too out-there for me. I used to watch football all day Sunday. Now, if I don't catch it, it's fine. I don't even care who wins anymore, really. I appreciated when the Cubs won the World Series, that was nice. I'm glad others pay for sports, because I'm not going to support it and I don't care if it goes away.

As to women, my husband is a big fan.

Football has too many rules now, it's frustrating. I just wish they'd let them play. I still watch as many games as I can though

Indeed, that new helmet rule and kickoff return rule is vexing me and I’m just waiting on a game to be decided by a call like that.

Like the Pats/Steelers game last year? :) (not the same rule, but a game changing call)

Not a fan of either team but I was mad for the Steelers because they got cheated out of a win, the same way the Jets got cheated earlier also against the Pats. Really, don’t know what’s a catch anymore.

I could agree, but I don't want to waste one moment watching anyone who infuriates me and turns my stomach. These idiot 'athletes' willingly allow themselves to be used as props by the BLM/ANTIFA propagandists. So, I have no interest in watching any of these simple-minded stooges and shills do anything....

Wow. That's some serious prep work you have had to do while deciding which games not to watch. Tell me - do you have list of of rapists, drug abusers, wife beaters & animal abusers all in your head, or do you have to refer to a paper list? I imagine it's hard to maintain that list - lots of serious crimes and lots of team movement - yikes!

Where does politely kneeling rate on the list of things that turn your stomach, wrt football players and their crimes?

Gotcha. The raping and whatnot, no biggie. Politely kneel? That's way over the line. Good priorities!

You responded to my post, so I made the (apparently incorrect) assumption that you read my post. Never mind, though.

It still does not explain how rapists belong on a topic about disrespecting th flag

I thought it was obvious? No football fans were complaining about it as player after player gets arrested for rape, drug use, animal abuse, spousal abuse... but the moment someone politely kneels, that's wayyyyyyyy over the line and worthy of boycott.

I think those who are using the politely kneeling as an excuse to boycott a game they love, have some very seriously screwed up priorities. That's all.

They were not raping anyone on national tv during the games

And how odd that you are defending the players on the basis that they do even worse things off the field

I'm not defending anything. I barely watch football anymore. I probably used less than two hours of my life last football season paying attention to any game. If we had the superbowl on last year, I don't remember. I couldn't tell you who played or who won without googling it. I don't like supporting millionaires and billionaires who allow criminals to play their game, simply because they are athletically talented.

It's interesting, though, that politely kneeling is the final straw for you. It says something about your character, IMO.

Do you think if you keep repeating "offensive black players" over and over you'll eventually be right about this issue, when so far you haven't?

To them, it's a way of honoring the flag and all the USA allegedly stands for.

After all, it's a FREE country, right?
