Yes, but under certain circumstances sweat shops and slave labor mysteriously gets a free pass by countless leftists. Remember when Apple was revealed to have essentially a slave labor set-up in China and our leftists made countless excuses for the company and its executives?
Charles Payne of FOX made the interesting argument this is because of the legal issues and protest over their use of low paid South Asian labor and protest they have been facing. Take the heat off.
No, its because black people are more likely to be involved in crime. Police are targeting people involved in crime. 90 something % of victims of police shootings are male. NOT because police are sexist, but because males are more likely to be involved in crime. Black lives matter protests doesn't make as much sense as a male lives matter protest would, based upon the much higher over representation of males among victims of police shootings AND such a protest would make no sense whatsoever.
Guy, calm down! Whoever is upset with Nike doesn’t realize that the whole world is upset about American football. First of all, this football doesn’t involve feet and balls - it’s played by hands with something that resembles an egg. The proper name for the “sport” should be handegg, not football. Second - how do you dare to call it sport when you have fat “athletes” playing it? How can you call players “athletes” when many of them are seriously overweight?
WTF did this lefty freak sacrifice? Nike pays him for ads. He sucks as a player and so he isn't getting put in. And he's still wealthy.
No. I'm wondering where I can buy clothes or shoes or similar, not from a sweat shop. You must have a line of companies you buy from.
More than shoes. American football NFL (all teams uniforms)[8][9] They have a 10 yr contract with the NFL for gear. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nike_sponsorships
Oh, and for those of you uppity folks who felt like invoking Pat Tillman for this particular issue (and never anything else, strangely enough) his own wife told everyone to chill.
I'm not protesting anything. I also know there is only 1 race, the human race. But many don't and start many racist threads.
I plan on buying the same amount I have in all the past years. Target is still in business, BTW. The other big company RWers boycotted out of business.
Pat Tillman left the NFL to fight and die for his country. This freak takes a knee, gets paid for advertising, and he's somehow courageous? Not even close.
For those of you who mentioned Kaepernick's collusion case, let me inform you of something. Every quarterback has a a style or traits that are suitable for specific offensive schemes and coaching styles. Look at guys like Manning and Dan Moreno, they were mostly pocket passers who couldn't scramble, they would not fit into many offenses where the quarterback could run if necessary. Kaepernick was unable to make it with HIS OWN TEAM that designed its offense around his positive attributes. So for a team to sign him they'd need a QB with Kaepernick's playing style, plus it would be assumed he'd be nothing more than a backup. So what does that come out to, maybe one, possibly two teams who could use him as a backup only? Then there's the distraction, the possible alienation of fans, and all the other unneeded misery he brings with him. When you think there are QBs coming out of college every year, plus other QBs being free agents, why would any sane team pick up Kaepernick? Have you seen or heard about the psych evaluations teams give potential draft picks? The teams are not just looking for smart players who are leaders, they're also trying to weed out the head cases and Kaepernick has proven to be a headcase and there's no telling what stunt he would pull next. For Chis sake he wore a Castro t shirt and pig socks.
doggone it - too bad I bought two pairs of athletic shoes for the summer or I would have bought a pair from this: https://store.nike.com/us/en_us/pw/shoes/oi3?ipp=120 geepers ~ they sure look great
Well, frankly he IS unimportant. It's not as if he affects my paycheck, my family, or my faith. Actually, so are Nike's to me, I think mmmmmaybe the only time I owned any was when I was in high school, and they would have been my track cleats. I get all my dress/work shoes at Red Wing (pricey but worth it - one of the few luxuries I allow myself) and my sneakers at Payless. I just looked them over - no Nike's in my closet. I can't say I feel any kind - well, anything. Also, I can't help but feel amused when I look at the hashtag and see #Just DoIt. Yep - just a dolt.
