Guilty before proven innocent. Nice to see how the left retains its commitment to the general principles of Due Process as outlined in the US Constitution. Keep it up, boys! America's watching!
Minimally funny mostly owing to its' style. Mostly a cheap shot. Certainly there are better Kavanaugh jokes out there? Does anyone remember when SNL was funny? The old days when they were all on drugs. Not Funny.
When you right wingers felt that way about Saddam it was perfectly OK. Thousands of Americans died because of that lie. Yup, the whole world watched and started an international boycott that brought on Bush's Great Recession.
Yew rhyte whingerz!! Yeah so deflecting to a position you assume I had - without asking me if I did - doesn't justify your guilty before proven innocent attitude, it just shows a very sad attempt by you to rationalize it.
Where's proof? We have people pointed to who were supposedly "there" at this party who said they attended no such party. Just what does it take to get you to ask questions of the accuser?
Any uninvestigated supposed assault is the fault of nobody but FORD. At the time if something happened, she should have reported it appropriately to local law enforcement agencies that handle local crimes as - believe it or not, folks! - the FBI does not investigate juveniles supposedly trying to yank down the pants of another juvenile in a drunken party. Ford has had over three decades and she did nothing, until magically now - right when this man is set to be confirmed to the USSC. The motivation is obvious.
You're trying to justify a guilty-before-proven-innocent mentality rampant on the left by attempting a horribly weak ad hominem tu quoque. She should have "presented her case" to the appropriate local authorities over 30 years ago if she was victimized somewhere. She didn't. She waited until now to make a claim for which her claimed witnesses aren't corroborating. Why is that? Why NOW? And why the guilty before proven innocent pack mentality?
Why not? Maybe her life was threatened back then. You never know. Let the facts come out and then we can all come to a better decision as to Kavanaugh's qualifications. After all, the right wing had no problem with people making claims about Bill Crosby or Weinstein after all these years. so why the objection, now?
Yeah so were Cosby or Weinstein running for office or nominated for a USSC seat, and did women accuse them at the 11th hour before the election or before a USSC vote with completely ZERO evidence? If not, apples and oranges. The facts are already out - people she's claimed as being there are calling her bluff. If she was victimized, she could/should have contacted local police at the time. If she was "threatened," now would certainly NOT be the time to come forward, so that argument defeats itself.
LMFAOOOOoooooooo We already know what she has to say. She has NOTHING. Again, if she was victimized, she had THREE DECADES to do something about it. I'm sorry you can't smell BS when it passes in front of you.
Innocent without investigation to ascertain if guilty has become the right's MO. WITCH HUNT! At this point the judiciary committee should take a page out of their own book and let the voters decide who should be confirming Trump's picks.
Cute deflection. A USSC nomination process isn't the place to make a claim of juvenile groping from 1982. This crazy hag demanded the FBI investigate a 36 year old case of juvenile groping. Do you understand how remotely ridiculous this is and do you understand the OBVIOUS political motives in trying to stall this NOW? Do you think we're blind?!
It 's not so much that maybe her life had been threatened but it's a rare teen that would come forward and accuse a classmate. Heck accusing anyone carried a great many risks for the girls. In court they'd be accused by the defense attorney of being sluts and inviting the attack for example. Some people need to be reminded that in rape witnesses are generally also known as accomplices. Girls who come forward even today risk being ostracized as damaged somehow, just ask our Education secretary who just made getting away with rape easier on our college campuses. We are moving backwards on this subject rather than forward and the last thing we need is a supreme court justice who may be sympathetic to the rapist's viewpoint.
