But there's no proof of one. In fact, "witnesses" changed their stories...

And yet many employers and in fact the FBI use them for hiring...which hey...that is what this is

For a lifetime position on the highest court in the land

    Which witnesses are those?

Have there BEEN any actual witnesses who have testified before the Judiciary Committee?

No, there have been people who have made claims, and changed their stories. Do you need a reminder?

Some even admitted to not even remembering the party lol

There might have been, but the witnesses Ford named have no idea what she's talking about.

Considering the position hes up for character does matter.
Kavanaugh and his friend purposely led her up to a room, and in her words he very much attempted to.
Ive sided with Kavanaugh up till now thinking she was just a political pawn.
    Shes very credible so far.

Even though she doesn't know when the part happened, where it happened, who else was there, and the fact the people she said knew about it have no idea shat she's talking about.
    Sounds like partisan-based predetermination syndrome.

If she was not drunk why doesn't she remember who drove her home?

    Why?

It has nothing to do with the issue.

Are you claiming that if a woman had bad parents it's OK to sexually assault her?

(...and it's " where WERE her parents"...)

But they are not admissible in court. DO YOU KNOW WHY??? They are unreliable. They only work if you believe they work.

I had 5 Daughters and 11 grandaughters. It IS important. Girls get drunk, and then want to complain because some boy took advantage of them. We hold drunk drivers accountable for their actions don't we? You teach your daughters the dangers of getting drunk, and know what they are doing if at all possible. When they do come home, you DO check them for drugs, alcohol smell. Yes, and all of my kids have grown up and drink very little, like me, taught by my parents you don't do that because bad things can happen. It may not be their fault directly, but it is not their fault if they run out in the road, the driver gets charged, not the idiot who runs out in the road. Think about it.

Ford passed a polygraph with only two questions asked. When was given a polygraph, multiple questions were asked. Then they compared it to what they knew about me. By itself, it means nothing.

A serious polygraph exam takes several hours, and even then the results are not reliable.

Given that Aldrich Ames and James Clapper were able to pass polygraph exams it is fair to conclude that they are unreliable.

If you choose to get drunk enough that you pass out or barely have control of your faculties, anything that happens to you is PARTIALLY your fault. Some may say its mostly your fault, since if you weren't drunk, whatever happened wouldn't have happened. Male, female, gay, strait or purple with polka dots. You are in control of your decisions and if those decisions lead to putting yourself in harms way, thats on YOU. And being at a party wasted without friends at your side, or driving drunk or getting in a car with a drunk driver....when something bad happens, its on YOU. Its like complaining that you lost everything in Vegas and want to blame the casino. Or you drown in a pool when you can't swim. That's all YOUR fault.

People need to own up and take personal responsibility for what happens to them when they make bad decisions. Blaming others is folly.

OK, Pred. So does this mean that Kavanaugh is responsible for not remembering what he did that night because he was drunk?

Until they testify under oath...they are NOT witnesses.

And why won't the Judiciary Committee have any witnesses testify under oath?

Because they're afraid of what they will say

So you think since women have vaginas it's OK to rape them???

Funny how so many righties in here are making excuses for men's actions.....don't they believe MEN should be responsible for their actions???? Guess NOT!

Never said anything of the sort. Nice strawman. Try harder. I can play that game. Why do you hate all men?

I have to say Kavanaugh is emulating Trump admirably. Like Trump yesterday at his solo press conference, Kavanaugh repeatedly interrupted the questioner when the questioner was a Democrat. Then he would do his best to avoid answering the question, rambling about how great a guy he was, how badly his reputation has been sullied, how he will never teach or coach again, how four people including someone named Kaiser (?) swear he is innocent. Over and over and over again, much like Trump.

His opening statement was pure Trumpian. In an aggressive manner he accused the Democratic Senators on the Judiciary Committee of being part of a conspiracy to drag his name through the mud. Even if that were true, it is not something someone aspiring to be an impartial judge on the Supreme Court should say. Throughout the hearing, he was belligerent and aggressive, and not the least bit impartial or open minded.

It was a pathetic performance from a man who wants to be a part of the most powerful court in the land. So pathetic that even if he were deemed innocent of all charges somehow in an "he said/she said" environment, he should not be confirmed. With the temperament he displayed today, there is no place for him on the Supreme Court.

In a word, he lost it, several times.

There is little doubt that Trump loved his performance. Picture this, one Trump in the Oval Office. Another one on the Supreme Court.

    Good God, no.

    Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

Judge Kavanaugh showed America exactly why I nominated him. His testimony was powerful, honest, and riveting. Democrats’ search and destroy strategy is disgraceful and this process has been a total sham and effort to delay, obstruct, and resist. The Senate must vote!

    3:46 PM - Sep 27, 2018

    Sound familiar?

If Kavanaugh is confirmed by Republicans, they can kiss the Senate goodbye. Suburban women will make sure that happens.
