A knife yielding man, or a pitbull dog, starts to run toward you in a dark empty alley. Say even you're crossing an underpass at night. You're cornered. It's night. Nobody's around. What do you do? On topic questions please.
Am I initially walking towards them or away. If Im walking towards, I'd move to one side of the alley giving them plenty of passing room. If I'm walking away, I'd do the same, but as they get close, I would turn, face them and gauge their intent. The guy with the knife may be chasing the pit bull. or visa versa.
Can't edit it anymore. The post. So... Thanks for the quick edit by the way. We have a wisdom here in Bulgaria... "The quick b*tch, blind puppies gives birth to."
Clubbing? There's a ton of clubs here around the sea. A club called “Makalali Beach” for example. It's in the “sea garden” which is so enormous you can get lost. Its length is around 10 kilometers. It's a pedestrian area mostly there and taxi cabs can't enter. You have to walk it. At night, it's pretty damn dark. Or crossing a Blvd, under an underpass?
When the knife-wielding pit bull notices you are unarmed, it will drop the knife and fetch you your slippers.
Since you mentioned it...could you tell us all how many have been stabbed in the club area referred to in the prior posts?
Threats and danger are not isolated to specific geographical regions. Rather they remain mobile and free to move about as they please, and confront anyone as they please.
I work often at night in not so nice inner city neighborhoods. I keep $15k of tools in my truck. Do I not have a right to do my job? My company charges $150/hr for my labor and customers will not always pay for 2 people. I've never been chased by dogs or knife wielding psychos, but I have worked at 2 sites where people were killed on the doorstep. Both sites have since put up fences with razor wire and have controlled gates, but not all my sites. My running days are over since a knee injury. A young guy rarely has the skills I've developed or my experience for my work. I'm not a liberal, so you know what my answer would be.
So what are you worried about? I drove a cab at night in Boston when I was in college. I used my brain instead of pretending I was John Wayne.
