Right here, "Then you try to tell me they are completely separate organizations and Cox is chair of the NRA PVF and leads the NRA." You just claimed Cox "leads the NRA," which is 100% incorrect.
Your post quoted which is a blatant distortion of what I posted. You cannot misquote someone and then try to reuse your distortion in a failed attempt to prove them wrong. If you believe that is incorrect, post where I ever claimed Cox leads the NRA, you cannot because I never did.
As chairman of NRA’s Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF), Cox has directed NRA’s electoral efforts at every level. From presidential campaigns to congressional, state and local races, NRA has achieved unprecedented success under Cox’s leadership.
And nowhere in that post is it stated Cox is leading the NRA, you are totally misconstruing what is posted to match your rather distorted belief's. Get it!
It doesn’t have to. YOU said “Cox as chair of the NRA’s political victory fund. lead the NRAs election efforts at every level.” Your words. He lead the election effort if the NRA while being chair of the PVF. Sure looks like the NRA is NOT just an educational non profit organization. ITS A PAC also. You do know what apostrophe S means. You are three cards short of a full deck.
Those are not my words, they are from the ILA's web site, which you falsely claimed you have already understood, which you clearly didn't. Plus you don't understand corporate structures very well do you? A chairman of a subsidiarity, is not the leader of the organization. And you having gone personal have clearly indicated you run out of any factual information you thought you ever had. You have been irrefutability proven to be incorrect and lacking any knowledge of the subject at hand. End of conversation child, now go to your room.
Great idea! It would cost less than $1000 each to give every qualified adult citizen an AR-15 and a 9mm. After all, if Liberals can give millions of Americans $30K+/year for doing nothing, certainly we can help defend our nation for a 1/30th of that amount for each citizen.
Any American one. It'd be a government contract order for millions of weapons so I'm sure many of them would vie for the chance to supply the weapons. Additionally, they would need to be simple and reliable but not necessarily up to milspec standards since most would spend their time in a closet, not the field. I bought my used Bushmaster and Ruger SR9 for less than $1000 total.
Meaning the contract would be provided to the lowest bidder, meaning the quality of the firearms supplied would quite possible be substandard and prone to malfunction at a critical point, correct?
Palmetto State Armory for the rifle, and that's a full retail. In the millions, even Noveske or Daniel Defense could realize sufficient economies of scale to achieve affordable rifles.
Agreed. Colt, S&W, Ruger, DPMS, all of them would want a piece of that action. I'm an AK guy, but the AR platform (and we all know there's a ton of them) would be the most logical. Next would be what pistol for "the Home Defense Force"? I own Rugers, Smiths and a Browning. Any would do the job. Again, it's not that they need to spend a solid year in the field. It's for homeland defense...and more of a deterrent to invasion than actual need to repel an enemy. Take out the foreign ones below...unless they build a US factory. I have a couple of Shields (9mm and 45), Glock and the Ruger. I like all of them. https://www.gunbacker.com/best-9mm-pistols-handguns/ Our Top 10 Favorite 9mm Semi-Automatic Handguns: Our Top 10 Favorite 9mm Semi-Automatic Handguns: 1. The Glock 19 2. AR-15 Bushmaster Patrolman appx $$650 S&W 9MM $280 = $930 one up, purchase in volume probably around $750.
Agreed. Even a bunch o Good points. The price may be even less due to a government contract; a manufacturer may provide the weapons at cost for Federa tax breaks on their other profits. This could save them millions and still keep the costs to the taxpayers under $1000 per armed citizen. Obviously there’d have to be some training and accountability; probably even involving citizens taking an oath.
Probably not, but I’m sure we could get off to a good start with what we do have. Still, as shown above, We, the People could arm a Home Guard for $1000 or less.
For concealed I carry a Colt Officers Model 1911 6 + 1 in a custom made Del Fatti IWB holster, light weight and very concealable. And loaded with Winchester Silvertips provides decent single shot stopping power.
Since this would be classified we will never know but I would guess it would be a higher number? We have many DOD depots and individual agency depots throughout Conus and abroad. When I am curious I log onto Fedbizops just to see what contracts are out there. Mind you, this is a public notification for solicitation. Gawd knows what goes on behind closed doors and classified solicitations. Utah and Nevada depots come to mind......Toele comes to mind among others out in the middle of nothing.
At home, a Springfield Armory 1911 and a Rock Island 1911 10-shot double stack. For carry, a S&W M&P .45 Shield. It doesn’t kick much more than my 9mm shield.
