    I just filed for an absentee ballot.

    It's actually a pretty rigorous process and guess what?

    Because I requested an absentee ballot, I can't vote in person.

    Actually I'm much more knowledgeable. 1st became an absentee in 1980 ... overseas deployment, US Army. Was an absentee late 80's Calif. ... 90's absentee Ohio. States determine the rigor, and my experience(S) idicates yours is Atypical. 'Course just flashing a SSN card or birth certificate can be rigorous right? :roflol:

    Well we know they are interested in dividing us (whether they are coming at us from the right or the left...which they do both of).

    So how about we back off the violent rhetoric?

    How about we condemn ALL the violence?

    How about we ignore the "issues" that are meant to divide us and talk about things that actually matter to our lives like healthcare and jobs and retirement security?

    Doing THAT would render them ineffective

    I think we got here when Democrats lost a Presidential Election they thought was in the bag, and to save face, have tried to blame Russia on that result.

    Some violence is very, very good. It's wonderful that the USA nuked Japan and thereby convinced Japan to surrender. It's a wonderful thing that the USA firebombed Germany and was finally victorious over Hitler.

    It's a wonderful thing when any sovereign country defends its borders with the force of violence.
