    That particular Republican Recession was so deep that the Recovery took some time...partly because of Republican fighting against that Recovery

    Like I said, Obama simply carried on what Bush started.

    Besides, everyone knows Bush was half liberal anyways.

    If I had been old enough I never would have voted for him.

    He was responsible for pushing the agenda though.

    If you look at the labor participation rate which is one indicator of what is going on, it dropped from 65.7% when Obama took office to a low of 62.3% in September 2015. It was bouncing around 66.0% most of the time Bush was in office. It may have dropped slightly during the Bush administration, but Obama took it to the low point. That drop by Obama was nearly six years in the making. That was about six million people who left the work force who still haven't came back.

    If Obama was responsible for anything, it was the slowest recovery on record.. When he was talking about rebuilding our infrastructure as a way to put people back to work, I was all in favor of it. However, his shovel ready projects were a figment of his imagination.

    Obama took it to the low point???

    It was the RESULT of that huge Recession and the Republican obstruction in Recovering from it.

    Republicans did everything could to slow the Recovery (to include shutting down the government) just SO they could whine about how long it took to recover.

    THAT is the kind of thing we need to turn away from
