Thanks for the video. The "Gun Show Loophole" meme is simply ant-gun language for banning private sales of guns. California is often used for a model for this goal. If the anti-gun left had their way, no American father could give their 12 year old a single shot .22 rifle for Christmas without traipsing their kid down for fingerprints and a background check. Of course, this whole action is just one step closer to confiscation. Can't confiscate if the Feds don't know who has the guns, eh?
The gun show or private sale loophole needs to be closed. It already is closed in countries with low gun deaths
They 'closed' it in WA State years ago. It costs taxpayers around $10M/yr and has netted one total conviction to date. That conviction was after the prohobited person shot someone, of course, so it cant even be demonstrated to have saved one life. Gun laws don't work the same here as in other countries because our culture isn't the same as in other countries.
Another anti-gun excretory thread. You people are losing credibility faster than Africans are invading Spain right now.
It is not about convictions. It is about prevention. Gun control DOES work in the US when done effectively
Then, if you are honestly looking for prevention, allowing people to carry IS prevention. More guns are used to stop criminals than criminals getting away with what they want says the CDC. https://thenationalsentinel.com/201...s-used-much-more-for-self-defense-than-crime/
If that were the case we would be the safest country in the world instead of having a gun death rate 25 times higher than other developed countries
We are, if you get rid of the places with the highest gun control legislation like Chicago and Detroit and DC. But hey, we are already dropping even with more guns being sold, so yeah. Thanks for proving our point.
Loophole implies an ambiguity in the law, which can be misused. This isn't a loophole, it's an intention.
I must've forgotten to mention that the $10M/yr that WA spends on MBC's can't be shown to have decreased any gun crime, either.
Probably not, as the TSA fails to find weapons in test runs about 70% of the time (to do the inverse, that means they succeed finding the test weapons/bombs 30% of the time). https://www.cbsnews.com/news/tsa-screenings-fail-to-detect-explosives-guns-knives-70-percent/
This was the discussion that was in progress months ago when you were banned. There is no loophole. You lost the arguement then, and nothing has changed. Why don't you reiterate what you call the 'Gun Show' loophole and be educated again.
