Oh, I see, it was a petty childish dig at feminists....as if people who believe women have equal rights are all ugly....my, my, what an...oh gosh, I doubt the mods would let me describe accurately a person who would think that way...
Is the women the sole possessor of decision making power in relation to her body, or is the man (in the equation) equally responsible for her body?
This thread is about women choosing to have abortions. Are they not the only ones with that decision making power?
They say that the woman alone makes all the decisions in relation to what happens to her body. Then they claim men have equal say (in what happens to her body). Mutually exclusive propositions.
FoxHastings said: ↑ ...and let "boys be boys" ?? They are NOT the only ones making decisions to having sex or using BC methods.... ...want less abortions, raise your sons right , too !!
So the man decides that she'll have sex with him? I'm confused. I thought you were saying that what happens to her body is entirely her decision.
You keep saying that men decide whether she'll have sex. It's so confusing that you can't even follow your own line of thought.
YUP! If an adult commits a crime the parents are not responsible...it's asinine to think so... If an adult doesn't make their car payments their parents are not responsible. If an adult gets drunk, their parents are not responsible.
. I have never said that. You are now at the "Anti's Frustration Point of Making Things Up" Nothing confusing about it....you are claiming I posted things I didn't...maybe that's a sign of "confusion" and (desperation)
I'll ask one more time : WHERE EXACTLY did I post : "" keep saying that men decide whether she'll have sex."" I didn't and if you persist I'll take action.
Yes, they absolutely are. If you raise a child who becomes an adult who does such things, you failed to form a responsible, clean living, and well adjusted individual with good ethics. THOSE character features are established by age 16.
You repeatedly mention that men are equally responsible (for what happens to her body - whatever that might be - sex, abortions, or otherwise). And please go ahead and take action, if you're troubled by my pointing out your logical error.
This is fundamental stuff. Does the woman have SOLE decision making power in relation to her body, or does she not? I'm focusing on the philosophical argument you're making (that women have absolute and sole power to make decisions about their bodies), and at this point, you appear to be contradicting yourself.
YUP! If an adult commits a crime the parents are not responsible...it's asinine to think so... If an adult doesn't make their car payments their parents are not responsible. If an adult gets drunk, their parents are not responsible. You claimed parents were responsible for what their adult children do.....that is false. NO one has ever raised perfect children....and the best parents in the world make errors. However, once the child is an ADULT they are on their own. The parents have no control nor should they. I suggest you look up what being an adult means. Now if you think that parents are responsible if their kid robs a bank, call the cops and see if you can have them arrested...
Sigh .... if you engage in sex as a fertile female, and don't use contraceptives, you are indeed 'consenting to potential pregnancy'. As long as it's potential, and you know that it's potential (and we all know), then you have effectively consented to a pregnancy. If you're confused as to why, I'll explain: sex makes babies. It's astonishing that this needs to be pointed out. Are you sure you're not trolling me?
